5.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting and romantic short story
This book is great! I loved it very much and I only spent 4 days to finish reading it. It's about 3 teen girls-Ellie,Nadine and Magda who are best friends. Ellie is plain but her 2 friends are much more prettier. However, Russell thinks she's speecial and madly falls in love with Ellie. They stay out very late at the first night they meet and they both get into trouble...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad influence--- Bad girls

Hi. I'm Kristal and I'm almost fourteen. I live in the U.S.A and when i read this book not to long ago, I was shocked.

This book contains a lot of innapropriate scenes. At one point, these three idiot girls hop into a car with three older male strangers. this may give girls the impression that it's ok to go with a stranger. Also, These gitls are...

So, they begin to have little dates after school everyday...and go home before night. This funny story is very easy to read and realistic, with the narrator of Ellie herself, a thirteen-year-old schoolgirl. I would recommend it to every teen girls. Don't hesistate to buy it!!! Also read <Girls Under Pressure> and <The Illustracted Mum>, they are dead hilarious too! :-)

This book contains a lot of innapropriate scenes. At one point, these three idiot girls hop into a car with three older male strangers. this may give girls the impression that it's ok to go with a stranger. Also, These gitls are foutreen and thirteen and they are dating 17-20 year olds. In america, it is illegal but in U.K i guess they aren't bothered one bit.
Bottom line, i wouldn't recomend this book to anyone.Jacqueline is obviously not a mother and has no clue how much danger a young girl coud get into, following these retarted girls.

All though, it is realistic and funy so i had to give it props. The other book, GIRLS UNDER PRESSURE was so incredibly wack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Excellent Addition to the Series, September 16, 2002

This review is from: Girls Out Late (Hardcover)
When Ellie meets a Year Eleven boy in McDonald's named Russell, sparks fly between the two of them. Soon the two of them are boyfriend and girlfriend (what Ellie has always wanted), and are slowly falling in love. But when there's a miscommunication between Ellie and Russell, and Ellie thinks that he's stood her up, Nadine and Magda decide to buy tickets to a Claudie concert to cheer her up. But soon, Ellie finds out that Russell hadn't meant to stand her up, and asks her to the school dance. Unfortunately the school dance is on the same day as the Claudie concert, and if she says she can't go to the concert, Nadine and Magda will never forgive her.

This is a must read book, Jacqueline Wilson has created another writing masterpiece with "Girls Out Late."

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Late!!!, April 4, 2004
By
This review is from: Girls Out Late (Hardcover)
Ellie goes to the mall on a normal day with her two best friends and happens to meet this eleventh grade boy called Russell in McDonalds and they stay out very very late. Now, though this may be romantic to some of the people, I think it is also very freaky, but it is very realistic that's what I like very much about this series, and the coincidences that happen between Russell and Ellie, stuff like misunderstanding Russell stood Ellie up, and Russell's school dance colliding with the Claudie concert Ellie is going with Magda and Nadine can really happen. I just think that the first two chapters are just far too hopeless and staying in the park with a guy you don't know is kind of dangerous, but the end is connected to real life and the decisions were smart and makes a nice story.
