This look at complex environmental challenges and their increasingly sophisticated technological solutions explores case studies of the most innovative geographic information system (GIS) projects yet devised by governments, businesses, and individuals. 5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent survey, April 18, 2007
This review is from: GIS for Environmental Management (Paperback)
Geographic information systems are being increasingly used in environmental studies to map terrain, chart biological changes, and create spatial analysis tools - and GIS for Environmental Management describes these studies evolving from GIS tools, making it an excellent pick for college-level holdings strong in GIS surveys. Chapters provide real-world examines of resource management challenges where GIS systems are lending to rankings and reports, offering color screen shots and GIS charts. College-level holdings will find it an excellent survey.
