Yes, all the books are there (January 1970 - December 1979), but they're nothing more than poorly scanned issues, complete with page yellowing, faded colors, and the occasional stain. Even the rust marks on the staples are visible. This was disappointing, but not a huge deal. I understand that these are very old books. What WAS a huge deal was the massive watermark ("ARCHIE") plastered across EVERY SINGLE PAGE, which was added digitally after they were scanned.
And contrary to other reviewers' opinions, it is VERY visible. And VERY annoying.

Several comics in PDF format, which you can read on your computer, or other device.
I read it on my iPad. It does show an "Archie" watermark across it when it's read on an iPad, but it's no biggie. Probably a DRM thing. Note that these are scanned in, older comics, and the thin ones, with about 19 double pages each. I can't wait for them to come with additional, newer versions of this!

Archie Comics have been a Christmas stocking tradition since my kids were very young. Now they are grown up and in their own homes, but they still want Archie comics at Christmas. This year they got hundreds on DVD. My only question is whether they will read them "on screen." I admit to being of the generation that has problems with reading a comic book without being able to hold it in your hands. For my grandkids it will be a no-brainer. They'll probably wonder what a "book" was- back in ancient times.

I have been an Archie fan since birth, and this latest CD Rom set is amazing. It is a great collection of scanned hard to find comics. Perfect for fans and researchers (yes, I am both!) Betty and Veronica are 2 of my fave Archie characters, and the artwork/stories are amazing. Fun for the whole family, while hip, mod, and "70s!"
Worth the money, especially used. I am glad I took a moment to buy this. Very cool--a great way to revisit the classics and enjoy the comics without blowing a bundle on original titles. 2 Thumbs up. Highly recommended. I hope they make these for all the decades and all the series titles! I will buy them all!!!

Other reviews indicate that if you move these comics to your hard drive there will be a water mark across the pages. If there is one I can't see it. Transfered easily to my hard drive and now if I have five minutes I want to burn reading an old Betty and Veronica comic, I'm there. I have windows 7 and acrobat 8 installed on my computer if that makes any difference.
These old Archie comics are really funny, I forgot how much.

Classic Archie Girls,

Very enjoyable. I was amazed at how many of these stories I had actually read before - presumably reading B&V digests at friends' homes over the years. Standard packaging and not much bonus material, but it's the comics themselves (the stories) I came for and this is a lot easier than digging through bins at the comic book store.

with the exception of the watermarked images this is a treasure. The comics are all PDFs and it was easy to import them into Apple's ibooks for reading on the ipad.
