These candles, despite being a nice, heavy and bright candle, do not live up to the description here on amazon.com and I'll be returning them because of it.

If you are looking for a simple 120v plug in candle that has automatic settings, then this is a decent unit. The base is a nice brass-ish unit, but the candle looks like cheap plastic; what a shame. The two bulbs that come with it (a flicker and a steady on) are a good idea and it's nice to have those options.

But, the description says, "cord acts as a removable charger." Nothing could be further from the truth. The cord is not removable... it plugs into the wall like a regular lamp. The bulbs are standard 120v incandescent and while it was probably wishful thinking on my part to assume you could have your cake and eat it too, you can't.

If you think of this bulb as a tiny night stand light that comes on automatically then you're all set. But, the description is highly inaccurate.

I give it three stars out of five for it's cheap plastic appearance on top, it's relatively very high price and it's annoyingly incorrect description. (Even the picture doesn't show the cord!)

I purchased this item after Christmas- thank goodness I checked the box before packing away with my Christmas stuff. The candle was snapped in half. I contacted Amazon & they shipped a replacement with no problem. However- this 2nd was was broken as well. Poor quality? I normally LOVE Bethlehem Lighting products- very high quality. I'm not sure if this is a packing/shipping problem or a quality issue. I also thought this was the cordless version because the picture didnt indicate a cord. Not a big deal if you read the description :)

I put these in my windows and I love them. I always come home to a inviting house. I use the "timer mode", they come on at 4pm and shut off at midnight! Perfect for a Maine winter!
