The idea of this bag is fine. It has handles where you would want them -- on top, on the sides. But my tree [from FrontGate, high end place for this sort of thing -- on clearance of course] has a steel center rod, and must weight more than 60 lbs [I know it's more than a sack of fertilizer]. The tree itself tore a hole through the side of the bag, and the handles ripped the canvas of the bag to their grommets -- they're still attached, but are just to taunt you that you can't use them. It might be sufficient for a tree that's not overbuilt like mine.

Like most folks we've been using the same box we purchased the tree in and the box ends up the worse for it. I happened to come across this storage bacgt and figured it'd be worth a try. We have a 7 1/2 foot tree but we had no problems putting it in the bag. Word of warning though - make sure you put the tree one piece at a time. Don't make the mistake of trying to put the tree in whole! The base of the tree fit as well and even zipping the bag up wasn't a probkem either! There's also a pouch inside the bafg where lights or small items can be kept - although I prefer to store them elsewhere! We also had no problems storing the whole thing in the same space we kept the box! It's a win - win all the way around!

This bag is thick and sturdy. It comes with straps for the limbs and the handles on the outside are easy to use. It is large so it takes 2 people to carry a large tree but is much better than the plastic bags sold locally. I've needed one like this for years.

A good, sturdy tree holder

Body Bag
I bought this bag for a 7 1/2 foot tree. There is definitly room to spare, but smaller bag would have been a very tight fit. This bag is well constructed, strong and easy to use.

Wow!
I paid less than $30 for this tree bag. What a bargain. The fabric is dense, there are multiple straps and pockets inside. It even came with instructions on how to strap your tree. Read more
