5.0 out of 5 stars Best mic on the market in the $100 or less price range.
I've been using these for many years now. I've replaced my Shure mics with these because these sound better. They have been response. And how the heck can you beat the price? 3 for the price of 1 Shure. Love it!

3.0 out of 5 stars GLS Audio Professinal ES-58
Great sound but too hot of a mike. When the mikes are handled, you can actually hear the person's hands and/or fingers on it. If they fidget around with the mike, it comes through the speakers loud and clear...so annoying. Going to try to put spit guards on and see if that helps. Had no problem with the purchase though. It went great!

5.0 out of 5 stars GLS Audio ES-58 - Best Bang for your buck, January 19, 2012

I immediately liked the overall workmanship of the GLS Audio ES-58. I tried it out on a live gig last week and was impressed with the performance. The sound was smooth, rich, and really cut through the mix without being overly shrilly. It's a real winner when useed on a mic stand. It is a hot mic useful in small/ tight venues where feedback can be a problem. It is noisy when handheld so beware.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good cheap Shure replacement, January 15, 2012
This review is from: GLS Audio Professional Vocal Microphone ES-58 & Mic Clip (No On/Off Switch) (Electronics)
I purchased 10 of these microphones for use in the hardcore concert venue i work at because i was tired of the bands throwing around Shure SM-58's and breaking a $100 microphone. At first, i purchased two of these mics to try them out in a church setting and in a hardcore venue setting. The sound of these microphones, although not just like an SM-58, is very good. With a little EQing (i cut some of the lows, around 300hz), you can get them to sound very similar to a 58.

As far as the durability of the microphones, its only weakness is the grille. They are made of plastic and the threads tend to break when dropped. My solution (them being only a $30 microphone) is to glue the grille on. Seemed to solve my problem. I will continue buying these microphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy For The Price, February 9, 2011

Admittedly this isn't the best mic ever made, that being said, for the price this mic is excellent.

If you're looking for some affordable mics you can't go wrong.

But, as the other reviewer stated, you can hear pops when the mic is handled. Just leave it in the mic stand and you'll be fine.
