Rotary and plumb laser marker generates two lasers which simultaneously provide vertical and 360° horizontal leveling. Three speed laser rotation allows fine tuning of laser visibility according to lighting conditions. Three pulse scanning mode converts the 360° rotary rotation into a specific scanning action that creates laser chalk lines of different lengths. Long life laser provides up to 5000 hours of operation for extended life and ongoing performance. Back lit vials for improved visibility in poor lighting conditions. Low battery indicator advises when batteries require replacement for continued operation. Soft padded carry bag for convenient storage, increased protection and easy transportation. Laser enhancing glasses improve visibility of the laser line, they are most useful when used outdoors or in bright working conditions.

- You have horizonal and vertical levels that help adjusting it

- There are more than one way to put on the tripod

I received this for free when I purchased a GMC miter saw. It can take a lot of time adjusting it for level and you don't want to push to hard on it after you have leveled it or it could get slightly out of level again. My tripod has a wide base on it therefore it comes into contact with one of the rubber feet on the bottom of this level which makes it very hard to tighten this level down onto my tripod. It has different speeds for the 360 degree line so can make out the line in brighter conditions. It can also do something like a 30, 45, and 60 degree line on the wall by moving the laser head back and forth. This makes for an even brighter line. I suppose if I moved the rubber foot and filed down the raised plastic next to it, I could give this level a three star rating.

I got this item for free with the purchase of a compound sliding miter saw. I did not shop for this item but am glad that I have it. I have since used it countless times during projects around the house. The best use was for an 85 foot retaining wall. Difficult to see outside in the sun, even with the red glasses included in the bag. Inside the house it is a dream. Works horizontally or vertially with an adjustable base and bubble gauge. Comes in nice protective nylon case too.
