I sing this song with the book for my piano students. For a seemingly sad song (the goose is dead), the illustrations lighten it up with bright color and contentedly joyful faces of the people in the book as they all go through finding "old gray goose" dead, getting her out and plucking the feathers. Kids keep going home with my copy, so I keep having to buy new ones.
