5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for 1080i over 50 feet!
After much soul searching over ordering a higher-priced 50 foot cable, I bought this one. From what I read, 45 to 50 feet is the point at which you may need an HDMI extender / booster. Ordered it on a Tuesday afternoon, received it in Friday's mail (same week).

I plugged it in to my JVC DR-MV100B DVD VHS recorder combo and the other end into my Panasonic...

1.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
Connection plugs are very cheaply made. Connector broke off in my TV after about 4 days of use. Video and sound quality were fine otherwise. I should have read some of the other negative reviews before I bought this.

After much soul searching over ordering a higher-priced 50 foot cable, I bought this one. From what I read, 45 to 50 feet is the point at which you may need an HDMI extender / booster. Ordered it on a Tuesday afternoon, received it in Friday's mail (same week).

I plugged it in to my JVC DR-MV100B DVD VHS recorder combo and the other end into my Panasonic 50" plasma. As the title says, I'm running 1080i over this 50' cable and no sparkles or dropouts.

Although not mentioned in the description, it comes with ferrite cores on each end as an integral part of the cable, so make an allowance if you're fishing the wire through tight passages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why pay hundreds for a cable?, March 20, 2009

I needed some long runs of hdmi cable to connect my integra dhc 9.9 pre amp / processor to my 61 inch Samsung DLP led TV and HD cable box. I'm certain you have all seen the prices they charge at the big box electronics stores for hdmi cables, and none of them even carry ones 50 feet long. I shudder to think what they would charge if they did carry them.

I was a bit concerned at first that these long runs of inexpensive cable wouldn't work very well. They work perfectly. I am sending 1080P video and high quality surround sound digital audio through two 50 foot lengths with perfect results. No dropouts in sound or picture. No anomolies at all. They just work as well as I could have hoped. They also are robustly constructed and should hold up great over the years.

I moved all of my components into another room 50' away. I hooked up these cables and the picture is perfect!! Do not buy into that you NEED to spend big money to get high end HDMI cables because you don't. These worked great.

ok so 50 ft is pushing it. before you buy this cable decide if you really need a 50 ft cable. do any thing you can to reduce the distance that your cable must travel because 50 feet is just pushing the physical limits of hdmi connectivity especially if you are running it next to other wires such as power cables. but if you must travel this distance you cannot go wrong with this cable. in case anybody is wondering it is 1.4 compliant and has a built in Ethernet channel (for running internet)
just the facts: amazing connectivity for how long it is and incredibly good price for any hdmi cable especially 50 ft.
remember see if you actually need that length first.

With this cable and a HDMI splitter I was able to send back my second Dish receiver, another bill cut down a little.

I have a sports bar set up in my house...identical 42 lcd's side by side...one is hdmi from comcast box on a 6 foot $25 cable....the other I used this 50 foot to come from another comcast box thru a splitter....my wife and I cannot tell the difference between the 2 pictures....I was so impressed , I ran another 50 footer outside to a TV in our patio area run off another box.....again, all works great there as well....these cables are worth a try especially when they are cheaper than a 6 foot hdmi in Lowes, Radio Shack or Best Buy....and I have purchased their expensive cables previously for else where in the house....I did take extra care hooking it up and it is permanent so it will not be unplugged ever....was reading the other buyers input about the cheap connectors so cannot comment there....

Product was good for the money however it took forever to receive the item. I ordered several items at the same time and this was at least a week behind every other item.

I was originally concerned that a 50 feet HDMI cable would have some signal lost but I was wrong. This cable worked perfectly fine.
