Product Description

In Latin, the word “alibi” literally means “somewhere else,” and to any person charged with a crime, it’s really important to have a good one, because it might mean the difference between an acquittal and a conviction.
But, just having an alibi isn’t enough: it has to stand up to scrutiny, because any good prosecutor knows that breaking an alibi and proving it was fraudulently concocted can lead a sure-thing conviction.
In this eleventh adventure of the Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries, Peter is forced into a role he never thought he’d be playing: that of a prosecutor, to help his ex-wife (the D.A.) break the most iron-clad alibi she’s ever encountered in a murder case.
Another event that no-one thought would happen in this case is that little Suzi gets her own car. She doesn’t know how to drive, and if she did, her feet wouldn’t reach the pedals – but she still gets a car – allegedly to help solve a case.
All thirteen of the Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries are now available in both print and Kindle versions. For more details and Amazon.com ordering information, visit www.LegalMystery.com

About the Author

Gene Grossman worked through high school, college, and law school as a shoe salesman, welder, process server, bail bondsman, tire changer, saloon piano player and ‘extra,’ appearing in seven motion pictures. He then spent 20 years as a trial lawyer, during which time he served as Dean of a small local law school, and taught several classes. The film and video company he started while working in the motion picture industry produced over fifty special interest DVD titles on everything from boating, to bankruptcy. Now retired from the practice of law, Gene writes aboard his yacht in Marina del Rey, California. You can see pictures of attorney Peter Sharp’s boats, yellow Hummer, Suzi’s e-cart, and Laverne’s houseboat at www.petersharpbooks.com All of Gene's books, including the Mystery Series and others that he has edited for his publishing company, can be seen at www.legalmystery.com All twelve of the Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries are available here at Amazon.com, including "The Magician's Legacy," considered to be one of the best 'locked-room' mysteries of this century.

More About the Author

Gene Grossman was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the North side neighborhood of Albany Park, attending Hibbard Elementary and Von Steuben High School. He pursued majors in psychology, chemistry and mathematics at Wright Junior College, Roosevelt University and Illinois Institute of Technology - all the while working his way through high school and college by playing piano in clubs on Chicago's then-famous "Rush Street."

After moving to Southern California, he worked his way through law school playing piano, and appeared as a musician in seven major motion pictures.

While slowly building his law practice, Gene purchased a truckload of movie equipment (a 5-ton grip & light package) that he rented out to flim production companies.

Always having been interested in boating, getting divorced prompted him to move onto a 45-foot Chris Craft motor yacht in Marina del Rey California, instead of into an apartment.

Years later, while serving as navigator on a yacht delivery from the U.S. to Tortola, Gene wrote his first book, Celestial Navigation for Dummies (some time before the popular series of 'Dummies' books was created). He used his own production equipment to shoot a video on the subject Celestial Navigation, Sextant Use and the Sun Noon Shot and at the same time unintentionally started the nautical video industry.

Over the next few years he followed that first title up with more than 30 other educational video titles (now in DVD format) now all featured on BoatingDVDs.com, one of 93 different domains his production company maintains on the internet, featuring many categories of educational programs (MagicLampDVDs.com).

Having moved on from doing scripts for his video productions, Gene turned to writing fiction, and now spends most of his time in the marina on his yacht, the "Magic Lamp," where he created the 15-book series of Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries, all now available on Amazon through LegalMystery.com.

In addition to the 15 Peter Sharp novels, Gene compiled a group of fiction and non-fiction titles that he has either written or edited for others, plus some classic stories: the publishing company he formed (MagicLampPress.com) now has more than 50 books in print, with 35 of them written by Gene under his own name or several pen names that he humorously keeps secret.

His latest venture is a company that provides financing for post-production (completion) of motion pictures - www.FilmCompletionFinance.com
