Once Again, Billy Mays comes through for the average man and his everyday dillemas,

This product is a winner. I use it to chop virtually anything I eat. If I want to make a Hot Fudge sunday topped with Hershy's chocolate, and gummie worms, no problem. I just put the chocolate and the worms in the quick chopper and whalah! A beautiful high calorie, artery clogging sunday is mine. My friends always tell me one day this product will give me a heart attack because of all the new foods I have been consuming with it (ie:candy salad, cheetos trail mix (a mixture of flaming hot, twisted, crunchy, and puffs cheetos chopped into bite sized chunks(I recommend it)), lard sunday topped with cheese, marshmallow delights, ect.). I have tried the slap chop, but with horrible results. It has about half the cutting power of this quick chop, and it made most cutting jobs as much of a hassle as using a knife. The quick chop is clearly the superior product, and since it is Billy Mays (RIP, bud) endorsed you know you can't go wrong with it (I can't stand Vince in his slap chop commercial).

Usually I don't write reviews but this product deserves one. When I saw it out of the package I thought it looks kind of weak for the job it claims to do, but I want to give it a try and disregard the comments a friend told me a long time ago: "don't by anything you see on those infomercials "as seen on tv" they are just piece of junk". Well I tried first with a potato, I sliced a piece with a knife to fix inside the plastic enclosed base (which is a little bit small), gave the fist tap, and the plunger didn't come out, it got stuck with the potato, so I tried to remove the potato and it was very difficult, so I tried to pull out the plunger instead, and the plunger came out so I had the chopper with the stuck potato on one hand and the plunger in the other. I thought probably it was my fault I putted so much stress to the poor chopper with that hard potato (by the way the potato was peeled and enclosed in the plastic fixture), so I decided to try now with parsley, again chop the parsley with a KNIFE to small piece to fix inside the device, the result, the parsley wasn't chopped at all, just smashed. Again, it has to be my fault, parsley it's too tough for the poor thing, to many fiber in there. Finally, let's use it on an onion as advertised in the commercials. Result: it worked on the onion but not as I expected, it certainly chopped the onion but most of the time you have to check the final result for big pieces which got stuck between the metal, come on!!! I do a more efficient job with a knife. I don't want to know the results on a tomato, probably smashed tomato, since tomatoes have a skin resistant to be cut and an weak interior. Conclusion: Save your money an invest on a good chef knife and a protective glove and you will be more efficient chopping vegetables, I have those before buying this piece of junk and I'm using them again. If you don't believe take a look of the video on youtube made by two ladies, just put "quick chop review" as the search, and the video was made by "talktolaura1". I wish I had done this before wasting my time and money

A kid's tool, not a cook's tool,

Blades don't move properly unless you pound on the button. And once the blades go dull, how can you sharpen them? Plastic pieces are thin, and though I only tried it once, I do not have much faith in this product lasting very long. I'm so glad I didn't buy this myself. This is a toy for a kid to chop ice cream toppings with, not a useable adult kitchen tool! Stick to your favorite sharp knife. A good knife will last a lifetime--this may last one month.
