Addendem: I no longer use this speaker...it developed an annoying short inside it, and you'd have to jiggle it and position it Just So for any sound to come out . If you accidentally touched it while it was playing, you would lose the connection. Frustrating! It only lasted a few months.
First of all, it's a PANDA...come on!! So cute! And it's perfect for listening to music on my Kindle Fire, because, let's face it, the Kindle speakers are sorely lacking.
When I first hooked it up, I had a few anxious moments until I figured out the correct way to tap or touch the ears to adjust the volume...I just kept tapping and tapping, and no sound at all was coming out. Thought it was defective until I got the touch correct. Since then, no problem.
For the price, the sound is great. I have around 1000 songs downloaded or in the cloud, and can listen to music for days with no repeats....this speaker can be heard several rooms away, while the Kindle obviously cannot.
It would be nice if it were a wireless connection between speaker and device, but it's not a deal breaker at this price.
My only real complaint is the awkward placement of the On/Off switch. Ideally, it should be on the PANDA,s nose.
Still, I recommend this speaker.
Addendum: I no longer use this speaker. It developed a short inside it, and you had to jiggle it to get it to work, and then Never touch it while it was working, or you'd lose the sound again. Too bad.
