This compilation will allow you to enjoy and experience the spectacular orchestral adaptation inspired by the spontaneous creation of the third Dharma Heir of Forshang Buddhism (Master Lee Sun-Don). The performance was presented and recorded at the culturally nestled National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.
Never having received any conventional piano education, Master Lee created a piano suite dedicated to his beloved teacher Yuan-Dao Bodhisattva (the second Patriarch of Forshang Buddhism), not through composing nor on scores. Instead, the jingling, profound melodies flew spontaneously out of wisdom attained in his spiritual practice, with his deep remembrance of his beloved teacher galloping freely under his fingers.
The piano suite was later rearranged by Pey-Wen Yen (who received a scholarship from the Austrian government to attend the Vienna National Music School) for an orchestral performancethe grand performance recorded here on this disc. The added violin and orchestra suite brings another element of greatness and grandeur to Master Lees piano arrangement.
When you listen to the songs of this disc, at any time and at any place, the melodies will provide your soul with unlimited enjoyment. Especially for those seeking the tranquility of meditation, Master Lees compilation will provide assistance in reaching such peace when accompanied softly during your personal routine.
The supplemental booklet also includes journal entries, musical interpretations, and biographical information by Master Lee, taking us into his thoughts and his creative, spiritual, and artistic intentions.
Total playing time is approximately 43 minutes.
