Was looking for a good entry level cocktail kit that wouldn't break the bank, and this fit the bill. As mentioned in another review the packaging(or lack of) is terrible. But amazingly enough, arrived on my doorstep with a couple of minor dings in the main drum that is barely noticeable. As for the lack of instructions...look at some pictures, it is a very simple set-up. As for the cymbals, as far as cheap cymbals go, they are not TERRIBLE, but they will never leave the house! Now to the drums, the wraps are as to be expected at this price point, a few minor bubbles, and one spot where the seam sticks up a bit. The hardware for mounting the cymbals and side drums seem to be a non standard size from most drum hardware I have, so adding accessories make take a little creativity. The single ply clear heads are also standard fare on an entry level kit. I spent a few extra bucks and replaced all the heads with Evans and Remo(2 ply coated) and they made an incredible difference in the sound of the drums.

I have had this kit for about 3 months now, and have played at my local jam every Sunday during that time, and have had a lot of compliments on the look and sound of the kit. For the money this kit cannot be beat (pun intended!) As a practice kit, it can be played as is out of the box, but if you want to play out with this kit, be sure to use good heads and cymbals, and spend A LOT of time tuning, and you will not be disappointed!

Surprisingly good quality drums for the price, except for the cymbals which are of the dirt-cheap stamped variety. All in all, a very playable, decent sounding kit.

I really like my new drums. They are unusual looking and sound great. I may never sit to play again.

Good looking set, easy to assemble, BUT arrived with NO instructions and damaged box so wonder if what I got is what I ordered???? Want to be sent instructions etc
