I didn't like this book at all, and this is from somebody who knows the subject. To me it looks more like initial books on GSM subject in 1990 where a bunch of copy paste stuff are included to fill pages and pages with no sense.
The writing style is also bad, I think people would gain in having good technology books that use English and high analytic mind to layout such important technology. Unfortunately this trend of who is going to publish first in technology is continuing with other subject such as CDMA, UMTS, LINUX, LTE... After many years in the field I truly think that the editors are not reading IT books prior to publishing them, it is a shame. The book is expensive too, I guess because many Telco companies buy them just to fill their internal library. |
