This review is from: A-GPS: Assisted GPS, GNSS, and SBAS (Hardcover)
I have read this book couple of times already. I highly recommend it since it can be used by the new comers to GPS as well as the experts. It has lots of detailed information that you can not find anywhere else. What i like about it is that the author does not leave any subject unexplained. He explains every term or subject about GPS that allows the reader to understand the subject well and encourage the reader to go on and continue reading and learning about GPS. It also has some real examples on how to design a GPS chip. The author does not only explain the theory behind GPS , but he also shows you details on how latest GPS chips are designed.
I want to thank the Author for providing this gem for us, it made my life and my work much easier.

Fantastic book on GPS system design,
By mba_mama (san jose) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A-GPS: Assisted GPS, GNSS, and SBAS (Hardcover)
This is a fantastic book on GPS (& A-GPS). My understanding of GPS system design & performance evaluation grew exponentially after reading this book. I've read a lot of GPS books. They all tend to be extremely theoretical and written with graduate students / researchers in mind. This book bridges the gap between theory & practice and offers incredible insight into the way real-world GPS receivers are designed, as well as the intuitive thinking behind each concept.
I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a in-depth understanding of GPS principles & practice. I would rate this book in the top 1% of my list of GPS books.

The definitive book on AGPS!,
By grace gao (Stanford, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A-GPS: Assisted GPS, GNSS, and SBAS (Hardcover)
Very detailed and clear explanations of AGPS in all regards. I found this book very useful, and I have already cited it in some of my research projects. I especially appreciate the coarse-time and fine-time acquisition sensitivity curves in Chapter 6. Highly recommended!

Highly recommendable. AGPS for all levels!,
By JdS (Madrid, Spain) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A-GPS: Assisted GPS, GNSS, and SBAS (Hardcover)
This is an excellent (and the first one, I believe) book on Assisted GPS. Not only does it cover the technical topics with great depth and rigour but it also dwells on less technical topics surrounding AGPS such as standardisation and future positioning constellations (Glonass, Galileo...). There is a table at the beginning of the book that will guide you to the different sections depending on your background. It proved extremely useful for a marketing professional in the wireless industry such as myself.
Overall, an excellent acquisition.

An Outstanding Treatese,
This review is from: A-GPS: Assisted GPS, GNSS, and SBAS (Hardcover)
This book is the only one I have come across that focuses on assisted GPS, the GPS technology that has brought location technology to our mobile telephones. Its chapters cover in great detail each element of the technology from chip design, to algorithms, to wireless standards, with information that allows the reader to quickly see the big picture and read on to learn the important details. Well organized into chapters, this is a useful reference that will serve its readers for years to come.

Well-written, easy to understand GPS book. I like the way the first section of each chapter is written so anyone can understand it, while other sections go deeper.
