Ordered this case Tuesday evening received it on Thursday ( 1 1/2 days delivery having used regular shipping). While the case does hold the tomtom XXL540M and the cars cigarette lighter cable well, the case could have been made a little deeper. Putting anything in the "netted" section of the case makes a tight fit against the gps's screen, but the width of the case does allow for the cable to sit next to the unit if you remove the velcroed section. The case is not what I'd call a "hard" case, definitely not plastic, but it is sufficient if your planning to leave the unit under the passenger seat, I think that the case will support any banging aroung on the floor, short of being stepped on. The case is NOT made of a very strong plastic but what feels like a "sturdy" woven material.

Received item a day before expected delivery date. I think this case is worth the price I paid for it. My Garmin 1450LMT 5-inch GPS fits well. The adjustable velcro divider holds GPS securely. Can also fit car charger cord in mesh holder. A divider protects GPS from mesh holder thus protecting screen from being scratched by anything stored in mesh holder. This case definitely serves its purpose, keeping your Garmin GPS from bumps, nicks, and scratches when not in use.

I have a TomTom case for it but the cord would not fit in it. This works great for carrying both.

I bought this as the bundle suddested for the 7 inch unit. I have a magellan 9020t-lm. It absoultely does not fit into the case. There is about a half an inch hanging over the edge. Nice case but useless for the magellan 9020t-lm.

I received this case in time for a trip I took from Chicago to Maine for work. I wanted it to hold my new TomTom XXl550 SE (purchased that from Sams Club, but same as other XXL550 models in terms of size). This has the 5 inch screen and I wanted to make sure it was protected and easy to carry.

This case has a divider in it which helps protect the face of the unit. I was able to fit my TomTom unit and the power cord for the car in this holder. It was not a perfect fit, but I put the cord in the upper section with a netting: and then put the cigarette portion of the plug down in the lower half with the TomTom unit itself. This actually allowed for a snugger fit for the TomTom to not slide around. There is a foam pad in the lower section to help "left to right" sliding, but "front to back" sliding was still possible. The power cord being down there fit perfectly for me and my unit and basically wedged it in to the case, but not in any way to harm the unit or the cord, just a nice easy snug fit.

I had no problems while traveling with the unit and took it as a carry on through the airports, those included O'Hare and Boston Logan, with no issues. I wish it was slightly bigger so I could fit a few more things in maybe, but overall it does what I bought it for, to keep my Nav unit and power cord together, safe and protected for travel.

This case is BIG but of course I'm happy with it, I got it for my Garmin 1450 wich is 5 inches and fits properly and still have space left for the car charger about the winshield holder probably it would fit if you take it apart (I dont do this) but somebody else migth want to know this. I recommend this case is made of good hard material and the little pillow moves around to your convinence meaning that you place it wherever you want.

Bought this to protect my Garmin Nuvi 1490 It does a good job and there is enough room to store the cables as well and there is a flap in the middle to protect the gps from anything stored on the other side of the case. The removable insert keeps the GPS from moving side to side which is good. However they should have supplied a 2nd insert to keep it from sliding up and down. Other than that it is a good case and a good value.

I was new to the GPS market and not sure how well this case would fit and secure my GPS from damage.
I ordered this case for my Magellan 9020T-LM GPS.
It is advertised as a 5"-7" GPS hard case.
Contrary to other reviews this case REALLY fits the Magellan 9020t-LM 7" GPS perfectly, like a glove, length, width and height wise.
This case holds the GPS only, It does not and is not designed to hold any accessories.
If you want something to hold accessories also this is NOT the case for you, look into maybe a camera case instead.
The case came with an easily removable width Filler (square soft 2" stuffed clothed covered spacer with Velcro on one side) if you have the 5" GPS (AS PICTURED IN THE ADS).
My case did not include a height filler to accommodate for the 5" GPS.
This case includes a permanently sewn in soft divider page to protect the GPS screen from the upper casing.
It also has a small storage area in the upper casing for papers or other flat items(not accessories) that you may want to accompany the case.
I suppose the case would cushion a short fall/drop but most likely will NOT protect it from internal damage from a free fall.
Be forewarned if you want a case that is hard to crush or penetrate this is the WRONG case for you.
The case is advertised as a hard case: It is actually very stiff but not rigid like hard plastic.
This is a MUST have if you're looking for a case to protect the screen from bumps, scratches and light damage while stored.
The outside of the case is very trendy and has a stylish carbon fiber skin look.
I am very satisfied with the build quality for what it was intended.
The case does not come with a carry/wrist strap but could be clipped to the two zipper ends.

Overall,the case comes highly recommended to any Magellan 9020 GPS owner.

I was overjoyed to be able to purchase a case for my husbands' Garmin. Really disappointed to find that it didn't hold all the parts. Gave it to him for anniversary and he carried parts of the system in it and the rest in his pocket. Too late to send back when I realized it was too small

I have two 5" TomTom Via 1505TM GPS units as well as a TomTom XXL 550 GPS unit. Both of these feature 5" screens and mounts. The XXL features a removable mount while the Via has a permanent mount. I tried another case and it was just too tight. So, I went when with this one. If you don't want to carry the car charger the units fit in without removing the velcro cushion. If including the charger you can kind of shove it in the top section but, it fits nicely if you pull out the velcro divider.

Pros
- stuff fits! 5" + car charge in the bottom section with some room for the computer USB or other stuff in the top.
- While not a clam shell the case does have some structure and feels pretty sturdy.
- Zippers feel good, they're not sticky or jamming and feel like they'll last a while.

Cons
- The bottom of the edge of the case (opposite the spine/binder) is curved a bit so you can't really tuck the unit into a corner. Not really a bit deal but, if you remove the velcro spacer the GPS will try to slide down to the middle.
- Could use a handle or clip but really that's just a nitpick.

I'd definitely recommend this case if you have a 5" GPS and want to use the mount and/or car charger.
