I just want to give a heads up to anyone shopping for MP3 players- GPX puts out a horrible product!!! This thing is a huge piece of S***! It turns off in the middle of songs for no apparent reason, it doesn't hold a charge (I had it hooked up for DAYS and it shut off after about 20 minutes, and that was a week after buying it), for some reason every time I turn it on the volume is maxed out, and you can't turn it down until the song is already playing so there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid getting blasted out, my 4 month old computer doesn't want to recognize it- it keeps telling me the device needs to be scanned (it hasn't stopped me from uploading music- it's more just a pain in the butt that I have to deal with everytime I get on my computer)... I will NEVER buy GPX products again. It makes me so angry that a company would put out such a crappy product with so many flaws!!! And it's not just mine- my BF and I each bought one and they're both crap! I'm not sure if this is the exact same one I have but it looks similar and it's in the same price range, so this review is more a general warning about this company. Don't risk it- look at a different brand!

I bought this mp3 player about four months ago. At first I had no problems with it. Then it started taking to long to charge or wouldnt charge at all. then it decided that when it was going to turn on, it wouldnt do so all the way. the device just went to a screen that said "waiting" or "updating music player list." So i waited and nothing happed. i tried resetting it, but that didnt help any. not only did i wast money by buyng this product, but i also wasted mony by downloading music to put on it. i no longer have most of those songs on my computer or a cd, so now i have to redonload them and i had over 300 songs!.

I have never owned a MP3 player but as a student it became a must to drown out the noise of everything else and focus on school work. I am so pleased that this is my first buy, and what a value it is. The battery life is excellent, and the features are easy to use, plus it comes with an FM Radio. I would suggest this particular product over many of the so called top of the line products. The ear buds are dynamic, in the fact they hold the concert to your ears alone. If you simply want to drown out the world, and escape to the digital sound of your favorites, I highly suggest this model GPX MP3 player. Enjoy!!!
