This player is everything you could possibly want in a CD player...plus a couple of extras. Here's the scoop:

*The player itself looks really sleek and it's also cool that you can actually see the CD spinning while you're playing it.

*When I tested the ESP (Skip Protection), I shook it, smacked the cover, and even dropped it once or twice and IT DIDN'T MISS A BEAT!

*The car adapter kit works perfectly and you don't have to be a techno-whiz to figure out what goes where.

*It comes with all the cool features: track programming, intro (though I don't really use that feature), and my personal favorite, random track select.

And now, the downside:

*The headphones are flimsy. My suggestion is to buy another pair or use a pair you already have.

*One of my favorite features on other CD players is missing on this one and that is the Resume feature. If you don't know what that is, Resume makes it so if you stop the CD, it automatically resumes where you last left off when you hit play again.

*The ESP was working a little funny for a little while. It would play, but then the player would just shut down or something. Anyway, it seems to be working fine now.

Okay, class, let's review what we learned:

Pros: Cool look, easy to use, car adapter kit, and it doesn't skip a beat with ESP!

Cons: Flimsy headphones, no reume, and slight ESP trouble.

Bottom line: If you want a cool-looking CD player at an affordable price AND it comes with a car adapter kit, buy this one!

I was looking to update my old CD player with something new to go running with and listen to music at work. This little player is lightweight for running, doesn't skip, and has nice bass. I found the headphones to be a little cumbersome with the volume control for exercise purposes, but that is probably because I am used to another set. I highly recommend this product. Also, Amazon sent it off in 24 hours and I got it the day after I ordered using standard shipping. Order the batteries (cheap anyway) so you can use it right out of the box. This product is great and really worth the money. It is more of a purple color rather than the ice blue in the picture, but I think it is still very good looking. Buy it!

Since my old CD player was skipping often and a bit outdated, I decided to try the GPX Blue Ice CD Player. At first, I had my doubts (I had never, ever heard of GPX in my life). Having used it, though, I have to admit that I am very satisfied. First of all, I absolutely love the icy blue color (who wouldn't?) and the way that you can see the spinning CD while you're listening. This player is surprisingly slender and lightweight, so it's easy to carry around. I thoroughly tested the ESP (Electronic Shock Protection) by dropping it, bopping it, and slapping it silly. It didn't miss a beat! And now for the coolest feature: Have you ever been bored out of your skull during a field trip or a looong car drive?(Is the Pope Catholic! ) Well, be bored no more! The GPX player's awesome car adapter kit is easy to use (you don't need to be an electronics whiz to use it), and it enables you to bring your music wherever you go. The bass boost system is also great. Best of all, this CD player is priced very nicely, so you can use the extra money towards a new set of headphones (The included pair is a tad flimsy). If you are a music fanatic (like me!), than I suggest you try out the GPX Blue Ice CD Player. I love it, and you will too!

The price,selection and slim design are unbeatable. I bought a cd personal player when they first came out they were bulky and wouldn't play right. Everytime you moved (the shock) the cd would start over. It was a waste of money. The GPX BLUE ICE ULTRA-SLIM CD PLAYER, caught my eye on it's slim, graceful, clear-blue design. It's everything you could want, light and portable! It's pretty too! I fell in love with it when I took it out of the box. Next day I put it too the test, at work. My job involves being outdoors. It held up to bumps and falls. It's GREAT! Then I tried the Car kit, plugged it into the cassette player. the music and volume (with the bass turned off on the GPX blue ice cd player) sound ohhh! so real! It's like the GPX blue ice ultra-slim cd player Is built in to the console. This is money well spent!!!

I reallt like the player itself. It looks nice and the quality is excellent. The headphones that come with the unit are rediculous, terrible, and uncomfortable. If you are willing to spend twenty bucks on good headphones additional to the diskamn this is a good system. Another downside is that it does not read all CDR disks.

I was surfing the net to find some CD's where this ad about the GPX Ice Blue Portable CD Player came up so I checked it out and i found out it was the perfect player. It has a adapter tape for your car so if you don't have a CD player you can play your CD's, and a connecter so if you run out of batteries you can plut it into the wall and listen, It has great sound, small in size so its easy to travel with, an attractive body, nice headphones and a great price. If your looking for an excellent player at a reasonable price you've found it!

Lives up to it's claims. Does not skip, sounds GREAT, easy to use and worth every penny. Comes so complete you will not need any extra adapters. A must have!! And I am ordering another for hubby. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!

Well, all I can say about this is that it works. If you really cannot afford a better discman this is the thing for you. I suggest you pay an extra $20-$30 for a name brand system, you will be paying $15+ in a matter of weeks to replace the headphones anyway. Anyway it was an introduction to me to discmans, now I only use the car kit.

When I first purchased this last November, I thought it to be a super purchase (that is for except for the cheesy looking headphones, which I tossed in the trash on day one). It was great for my daily train ride into Manhattan. I could walk with it to the office with minimal skips. However, 2 months ago, it just stopped working. After reviewing the warranty information, I saw a 3 month warranty. Most reviewers indicated they loved the features and the price. You get what you pay for folks. Hello Sony...I've learned my lesson..

Well, what canI say? If you have this CD player you know its kicken. The color is attractive, and the bass rocks. The headphones match the body, makin it look slick, and it doesn't even skip! The ESP (electonic shock protection) works great if you use it on a bumpy bus during a boring school feild trip. It has a car kit too so I can listen to my cds in the car and a cigerett adaptor so I don't even need to drain my batteries. All I cna say is its great!
