It's got a battery backup in case you lose power. You can wake up to track 1 of any cd. The speakers aren't real special but it's 28 bucks people. They are still decent speakers for the price. It's got a dimmer switch on the bottom so if you don't want the clock real bright, just switch it. Overall, I was happy with this purchase.

This one got two stars from me. On the positive side - the CD player works well - I got it for my daughter, and she's very happy about that - so happy that she doesn't want to return it - HOWEVER - you can't set the clock. You can set the minutes, but you can't change the hour. I guess this would be fine if you set your clock right after midnight, and wanted your alarm to also go off shortly after midnight - but otherwise, you're pretty much out of luck. I'm hoping this is just a fluke - the price was low - but if all I'd wanted was a cheap CD player, I could have gotten it for less. I'd recommend you save your money, or - if you're determined to buy this brand - then get it from a local store so you can have an easy exchange if (when) you run into problems.

Bought this item for the multiple functions promised - radio, CD, clock and alarm. The clock fails to keep time thus cancelling out time and alarm function. The vendor will not replace it and the manufacturer does not reply to my email as to how it can be exchanged for one that works.
Spend your $$$ someplace else.

This is a POS. Don't waste your money...I used this for a baby nursery to play music during nap time. The CD player worked for less than a week before it kept skipping. I thought it was my CDs. Turns out it's just the crappy CD player.

After a few months of using this cd player from time to time it just stopped working. it would spin the cd but not play it. A few weeks later the clock itself went - and at that point since neither function worked - this went in the trash! I would not recommend this product - even at this price it is a bad deal.

The only reason I got this clock was for the CD player to play classical music in my baby's room and I get the thing and it won't work. I called the company and they said I could send it back but it cost $15 to ship and I only paid $17 so I would say this is not a good product.

This little radio worked great in our daughter's room (for playing CD's) for 2 months. Then the clock display went out! It will still play CD's but as we also wanted it in there to tell time, it's partially useless. I can't be returned at this point either so we're out the money we paid for it plus more to buy a new one! A little disappointed overall.

The CD player is good, not sure about the alarm clock part. It was a gift for my 7 year old so he can listen to CDs in his room, and it does that well, but the clock doesn't seem to keep time well. Or my kid might be messing with it. Not sure!

I liked this fine for my daughters' room. The clock numbers are in red, not green, which makes it restful on the eyes. It doesn't light up the room. It's easy to use. It plays well and has back-up if the power goes off in the night. The only problem I've had is that it doesn't last. Our first one died in less than six months. The manufacturer gave us a free replacement, which I appreciated, but the replacement lasted less than two years. If you know you're getting it for the short term, then it's a good find. Just don't expect it to last.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to set my alarm to play a specific track from a CD when it goes off just like my old sony CD alarm clock that finally stopped working after 12+ years. I know that that clock cost no more than 40$ when I got it, but now it seems that there is no way to find something comparable for less than 100$ or so. What, I would like to add, is the point of a CD alarm clock that only allows you to wake up to the first track? Wish that information would have been clear in the product description, but then how would they ever sell these things. Typical example of crappy design caused by a crappy company cutting corners. Complete waste of money. Don't buy.
