This unit stopped working in 10 hours. When it worked, it sounded great and the style is very nice, although the cd door is a bit cheap. But when turned off, it would not turn back on, just stayed in standby. The reset button didn't work either. Not worth the price on this website.

I bought this product, played 1 CD on it, and then it never worked again. Mine, too, went into standby mode and would not turn off or on after that. The reset button would not work either.

We bought this for our baby's nursery. The device works well so far, but the blue backlight on the LCD screen stays on regardless of power on, power off, standby, aux-in, etc. The light is SO bright it literally lights up the entire room, hallway and next room at night when the lights are off. There is no way to turn off the extremely bright annoying light, and we will be returning this for a full refund. I suppose you get what you pay for.

I purchased this item in a store, should have read reviews previously. After about 10 hours of use, there was a sound coming from it like a fire alarm....this would not stop each time I turned it on. Once I got the set off the top shelf, I could smell the electrical burning smell of a short circuit. Apparently others have had this stop working, but no one mentioned the potential fire hazard! Be ware!

I think this home music system is great for its price. I wasn't looking for high-end music system, just something simple that plays CD/Radio and has an alarm and this product works great. I've had it for 3 months now and I've not had any issue with it. It has its flaws but I think for $40, they are very negligible. The first challenge I had was the light indication on power button. I thought when the power button was lit red, it was on. With this unit, it is exactly the opposite (unless I have a defective one). If the power button red light is on, it means the unit is off. And when it is not lit, that means it is actually on. This caused some confusion for me in the beginning when I was trying to set clock/alarm, etc. After I figured it out, I didn't mind. Also blue LCD light never turns off even it is stand-by mode. But as far as performing, it works great. It even plays some of the CDs my old SONY DVD player would not play. If you are looking for a simple home music system and don't want to spend too much money, this is perfect.
