4.0 out of 5 stars It's a rugged product but I should have read the fine print.
I enjoy this product now, since I have been using it. When I first received it I was a bit disapointed. The product has no rewind capabilities, you have to remove the tape, reverse it and use the fast forward button. The flash light switch has a short. The flash light will work but you have to move the switch just right. For the price and what I am using it for...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Bad for features and price
Tape player/radio with flashlight. Nice for price..under $20. Picked this up to play books on tape I have in car. Flashlight was nice extra because it is actually easier to see tapes with flashlight than with car interior light which casted a shadow over the tapes. Not bad battery life either.

The flash light will work but you have to move the switch just right. For the price and what I am using it for though, I must admit, I'm satisfied. It seems to take rugged treatment pretty good. Oh Yea, It has no recording capabilities either.

GPX WR3004SP Portable Cassette Player with AM/FM Radio and Flashlight .
I bought this cassette player because I wanted to listen to books on tape while knitting in order to keep up with my monthly book club reading. The player works fairly well, but the construction is flimsy, it's cheaply made; it's very basic, no bells and whistles. The sound is clear for listening to books. I've used it when on the elliptical machine at the gym as well, but the volume automatically keeps getting louder from the motion so it constantly needed to be adjusted. The ear phones are also not that comfortable. However, it was very inexpensive and does serve the purpose it was intended for.

It is a nice little tape player and the flash light works well, but it is a little bulky. It is great for going outdoors where you need a flash light though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cassette player is a dud!, June 20, 2008
This review is from: GPX WR3004SP Portable Cassette Player with AM/FM Radio and Flashlight (Electronics)
I ordered this cassette player for my 6 year old so she could listen to books on tape. The player worked great for the first 2 days and served its purpose well, until we could not get it to turn off. When you hit the stop button, it continues to run, whether there is a tape inserted or not. The only way to get it to stop is to take the batteries out each time you want to turn it off. I could not find my invoice from shipping which is why I have not returned it, otherwise I would have. I am quite disappointed in this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing portable cassette player, June 18, 2008

The GPX WR30045P Cassette player is confusing! It's imprinted with "DC in 4.5 volts" but takes 2 - 1.5 volt batteries! Doesn't compute. And what do I set my AC adapter for? Can't see the tape; bulkier than it needs to be.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Product, March 3, 2008

This review is from: GPX WR3004SP Portable Cassette Player with AM/FM Radio and Flashlight (Electronics)
The price was low, but I figured that by now all cassette tape players would be. However, it seems the low price coincides with the product. The player drags the tape and the volume fluctuates from very hight to very low on its own accord. It does play tapes, but when and how it wants to....

1.0 out of 5 stars sucky! sucky!, December 1, 2007
This review is from: GPX WR3004SP Portable Cassette Player with AM/FM Radio and Flashlight (Electronics)
I bought this thing from AMAZON. I threw it in the trash I think 2-3 weeks later. The unit has wow & flutter. The volume increased by itself, I had to keep turning it down! Finally, it stopped working (cassette) just before I began my bike ride home. I just took the batteries out and threw it in the trash. The light was good enough to find my stash in the dark if I got down on my knees. Wasted $40.00's
