Functional, not very well made, December 4, 2005
This review is from: GRE Vocabulary Set 1: High-Frequency GRE Words (Paperback)
These cards do as they're advertised, but the quality isn't that exceptional.
The printing is crude/obviously word-processed, and they're printed on cheap and relatively fragile paper stock.

Good vocab prep, November 23, 2005
This review is from: GRE Vocabulary Set 1: High-Frequency GRE Words (Paperback)
I found the High frequency words pretty useful, and I think these words only matter anyway. Only I find carrying the flash cards and flashing them around a pain, and they write GEEK all over me. I actually found this cool application that works on the cell phone and has tough GRE words. Google with "GRE tough words" to find it. Best part I liked about it was that the words are on-the-mark and app is well designed for cell phone use.

These words ARE on the GRE, but not sufficient, March 4, 2011
This review is from: GRE Vocabulary Set 1: High-Frequency GRE Words (Paperback)
I used all 4 sets of this flash card sets, Kaplan's, and other supplementary flash cards. I was aiming for more than 600 on verbal section, and I did get 600 after all. Considering that I am an international student, I have to say that this worked pretty well.
I highly recommend that you purchase all 4 sets. First set isn't much of a practice - you know pretty much all the words.
After finishing all the 4 sets, you can be pretty confident that you are prepared for taking the GRE.
As it is advertised, these are high-frequency GRE words. What you memorize do come up in the test.
However, to be more prepared, it is safe to you use additional materials as well. I bought Kaplan's vocabulary in a box. Some words are identical, but had extra definitions, which helped me relate those words more.
Great starting point, but I suggest that you use this with other materials so you are more prepared.
