I have two of these gliders. The first was purchased at Target when it was on sale for $1.50 (last one too). The second glider I bought from Grammies Attic here on Amazon. This glider failed during it's first use. The stitching on the very tip of the wing gave way which has rendered the glider useless. The glider I bought at Target is still going strong after a couple of weeks of use by a 6 year old boy so you KNOW it's seen some abuse.
I contacted the seller, Grammies Attic, to tell them of the issue and the first thing the jerk said was "was it used on asphalt?". I said it doesn't matter since the tip of the wing never touches the ground. The package the glider came in didn't say antying about which surface it can land on. I mean, literally, the stitching at the very tip unraveled so it's NOT due to abuse or surface it lands on. He started to argue with me and finally told me to contact the manufacturer. Apparently his hands are clean with respect to defective products. This is NOT the mark of a quality seller. I have contacted the manufacturer since Grammies won't honor anything so we'll see how things end. I will report back with their customer service when I hear from them.
Anyway, the glider is a lot of fun to fly and it glides really well in zero-wind situations. Both my kids think they're cool looking too.
****UPDATE 7/19/11**** After giving the seller a bad review/rating I was contacted by someone that was not aware of the conversation I had with some other person at their store. Turns out I spoke to someone who should not have picked up the phone and I was assured the misconduct I received would not happen again. The seller has shipped a new glider and has resolved the issue.
