Marilyn Haight's book of Greeting Card Verses for Nontraditional Situations is a wonderful resource.
Not only are the sentiments well written but they are just what I would have said if I could have. Meaning the verses are well thought out but sound as if an average person wrote them and not some over the top Ad man. The verses are written in such a way that you can use the whole verse verbatim or pick and choose a sentence or two. Plus, with this book in hand, I find I can write a better sentiment for those traditional cards too. No more "All the Best" from me from now on. |
