This is the perfect read for the non-military, non-seafaring reader. Although I had been on board a couple of times before, I decided to dig in deeper before leading the local Boy Scout troop on a day tour. Lee Merideth does a great job providing background on both the logistics and history of carrier warfare before moving on to an excellent self-guided tour. There are many short "how it works" sections in the book giving you a quick glimpse into the operation of the ship, mechanical workings of equipment and basic ship construction. I purchased through an Amazon used book affiliate and as always received exactly what I ordered in the condition and time frame expected.

Interesting history for an old warship that is now a museum. This book is a good primer for the study of WW2 war ships.
