It worked very well for that purpose.

These punches work good for starting your roll pin and thats about it. Very well designed but made of soft sub-quality steel. The first bit of resistance and you will end up bending the punch. For those of you looking for punches for installing roll pins for your AR-15 builds you might want to find something a little better quality. I bent one just driving in the trigger guard roll pin.

Bought these to work on my gun. Bent one the first time I went to use it and when I tried to bend it back it snapped. Wouldn't buy these again. Spend a little more and getting something which is a better quality

Wish I had spent a little more money for a better set. I've already had 1 break after a week

Bought the punch set to work on my pistols and rifles.First time using one of the punches to tap out a pin, the punch bends.I was barely hitting it with a rubber
hammer and it BENDS.I never did get the pin out either, was too worried I'd break the punch off inside the pistol.WEAK made in CHINA JUNK!Spend your money on something better.I had to give it a one star to be able to post, but it should be a no star.Junk is Junk.

I had to use the smaller punches to remove and replace some role pins on my AR-15 , with the first 2 hits of the hammmer they bent over like they were made of butter. I had to keep straightening them out like a bent nail and I finally just threw them away, went to Sears and bought some good ones that are guaranteed for life and they worked perfectly. My advice is to not buy these and just go to Sears to buy what you need.

I've bought clay harder than these. First time using one it bent and didn't even move the pin. They might be cheap, but not worth the effort to simply find how soft they are and have to return them.

Junk. Broke 1 / bent 2 of the smaller sizes on my first use and ended up running down to the local hardware store that evening. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. Buy a decent set the first time and avoid having to buy another set at some point in the future. I was very disappointed with these punches.

How much can you really say about a punch set? These things worked just fine, I used them to work on my AR15 to put it in perspective for any potential buyers looking to do the same.
