1) Contains a large quantity of practice problems. GROUPED by Game Type provides you with 80 logic games for you to practice on. Repetition is key when learning new concepts for the first time. You will find that the more you games you do, the easier they become, and the faster you will be able to complete them.
2) Allows you to focus on your weaknesses. In order to truly master the LSAT, and achieve the best score possible, you must identify and conquer your weaknesses. This means repeatedly attacking the particular game types that you are having trouble with. GROUPED by Game Type does the hard work for you by sorting and grouping logic games into chapters by type. This allows you to spend all of your time doing practice problems, rather than searching through a bunch of PrepTests looking for a particular game type.
3) Keeps recent PrepTests pristine. Since the most recent PrepTests are the best indicators of your projected LSAT score, they should be left untouched and completed only in their entirety and under timed conditions in the weeks before the actual LSAT. Many other test preparation companies use games from recent PrepTests as examples in their books, leading to skewed practice scores when students come across games they have already seen. Traciela understands this--you will not have to worry about "spoiling" any of the newer PrepTests when using GROUPED by Game Type. Our book is comprised solely of games from PrepTests 1-20, allowing you to focus on and master the specific types of logic games that you struggle with most, while being sure to keep the more recent PrepTests pristine.
4) Includes hard-to-find PrepTests. While the majority of PrepTests are readily available for purchase, there are a few "rare" PrepTests (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 17). GROUPED by Game Type contains all Analytical Reasoning sections from PrepTests 1-20, including these eight hard-to-find PrepTests.

I got -0 in the Logic Games because of this book!,

This review is from: GROUPED by Game Type: LSAT Analytical Reasoning: The Complete Collection of Actual, Official Logic Games from PrepTests 1-20 (Paperback)
Logic games were by far my weakest section (keyword: "were"!) so I've definitely gone through my fair share of logic games books. First off, let me say that I absolutely love that Grouped by Game Type uses actual and official LSAT questions. I bought the book for this reason alone. Let me give you some words of advice: DO NOT use any books that do not contain real LSAT questions! Trust me, you don't want to waste your time on the fake ones.
I started my prep with PowerScore's Logic Games Bible. It was good but I needed more practice questions. I almost bought their Logic Games Workbook, but I decided against it when I heard that it uses questions from the later PrepTests so sometimes when you do practice tests you come across questions you've already done before. This book turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. I really liked that Grouped by Game Type uses only questions from the earlier PrepTests so I knew there was no overlap when I did practice test later on. I'd heard that you just need a lot of drilling and repetition to do well on Logic Games. That is sooooo true and this book is PERFECT for drilling. It provides you with 80 logic games from real LSAT's (more than any other book that I know of!) The best part is that the book divides all 80 games up by type. I just did game after game after game of each type until I finally started getting it. By doing this, I went from only being able to finish 3 out of the 4 games on practice tests to getting zero wrong on the real thing! This book is a MUST for anyone not consistently getting -1 or -0 on the logic games section!

Grouped by Game Type is Better than Kaplan LSAT Mastery Practice,
By LSAT Blog "LSATblog.blogspot.com" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: GROUPED by Game Type: LSAT Analytical Reasoning: The Complete Collection of Actual, Official Logic Games from PrepTests 1-20 (Paperback)
I've written a more detailed review of this book on my LSAT blog. However, I just wanted to briefly note that this book is much better than the previous alternative, Kaplan LSAT Mastery Practice.
Grouped by Game Type contains every LSAT Logic Game from PrepTests 1-20, so it includes some Logic Games that are otherwise out-of-print and difficult to find in book form. It organizes Logic Games according to their various types, while the Kaplan Mastery book lumps together some games that are very unlike each other and just includes a random assortment of games.

Great tool for mastering logic games.,

This review is from: GROUPED by Game Type: LSAT Analytical Reasoning: The Complete Collection of Actual, Official Logic Games from PrepTests 1-20 (Paperback)
I am a professional LSAT tutor, and I use this as a workbook for teaching my students the logic games. It is a no-nonsense compilation of all of the logic games from tests 1-20, clearly and intuitively organized. This book is a great tool for helping students to master the logic games - I teach them a strategy for diagramming and solving a certain type of game, and then they are able to apply that strategy several times over to reinforce their learning. Highly recommended.
