5.0 out of 5 stars Only know one song, but that's probably enough!
I'm only familiar with one song from this album - Grumpy. I've seen the video on Noggin, and LOVE IT! Catchy (but not insipid) music with lyrics that get to the heart of the matter. This song reminds me of my mom and her, "Go away! Not far and not for long, but go away!"

"If you wanna be a grump, that's ok.
But could you be a grumpy kinda further...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Our family loves the Belly Button Song from the Sing Along with Putumayo CD, so we had high hopes for this disc. Unfortunately, the songs are plagued by a sameness that makes this hard to listen to. Grumpy is great, but the others tend to run together.

It's not that I don't love you, 'cause you know I do.
Sometimes I'm grumpy too."

The song acknowledges that the adult understands how the kid feels - "when your oatmeal's lumpy and your socks are all bumpy, what's a poor kid to do?"

Grumpies, udgies, and peskies of the world unite! Someone understands!

As an aside, the video is a HOOT! (See www.noggin.com and go to Jack's Big Music Show.) He has the funniest facial expressions, almost reminding one of Red Skelton at times.

My name is Roman and my brother is Milo. We have our own music box and my dad gave us our Grumpy CD.
We like it and play it all the time but not at bedtime.

Has all the cute songs from Nick Jr. and some I have not heard before. My son loves this CD and he dances and sings to it every time.

I think Grumpy is the best song on this cd. The rest are very repetative and hard to listen to.

3.0 out of 5 stars A couple GREAT songs, February 19, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I really loved the 'Grumpy' song when I heard it on TV, so I bought this CD as a gift for my nieces and nephews. I have gotten to listen to it and honestly I was expecting every song to be at the 'Grumpy' quality and sadly they aren't. There are probably 4 or 5 songs I would listen to over and over. The others are a little too grown up and they don't seem appealing to kids. I can't get enough of GRUMPY though. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Music, Great Fun, April 4, 2007

I have 2 year old twin boys. They're very different, but both love music. David Weinstone's song writing is amazing! His lyrics really grab the attention of kids and parent's alike! My sons love all the songs on this CD, but they especially enjoy the "Grumpy" song. The "Grumpy" song can really help parents to remember how hard it is to be a kid and how the littlest things can affect kids moods. This CD has music for parents and children to listen to together. And the music is fun! My husband and I are both enjoying the CD and are thankful that the days of listening to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Row Row Row Your Boat" endlessly are finally at an end. Great music from a great artist. Thanks to David W. and Music for Aardvarks!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can it be true?, April 1, 2007
This review is from: GRUMPY (Audio CD)
How many CDs by the same artist can be this good?
I don't know but "Grumpy" is another. Diverse in musical style, witty, funny, poignant and true.
