The GS9153 Flip-It Gran features a patented spring-loaded top yoke which flips into place around the guitar's neck. The Flip-It series provides the maximum protection for valuable instruments. Spring-loaded top yoke with new straight front design that will not catch on guitar strings. Cushioned with black velveteen rubber, specially formulated to be safe on all guitar finishes. Built-in gooseneck carrying handle allows stand to be picked up and carried with guitar in place. Vertical shaft is height adjustable for use with guitars, basses and other stringed instruments. Shaft is angled 15-degrees for increased stability. Ergonomic locking knob locks shaft in place once desired height is set. Heavy-duty die-cast leg housing locks legs firmly into position. Lower yoke with "smart" yoke design is balanced to remain in an upright position and padded with velveteen foam rubber. Solid steel rod with "keyway" locking system prevents lower yoke from falling out. Legs are angled for a low center of gravity, which makes the Flip-It much more stable than other stands that hold the guitar higher off the ground. Legs include plastic endcaps.
