After researching the available manufacturers and reading various reviews, I opted for this item listed on Amazon. Don't be discouraged by the fact that the tailpiece that attaches to the rear of the gun is plastic. It seems to be well made (so far), and the important arms of the stock are made from aluminum, with the plastic butt piece molded to them. The stock and gun colors match perfectly.

I cannot verify who the manufacture of this item is since it was shipped in an envelope with no packaging, but appears to be the OEM's model. It fits and works as expected. One trip to the range and over 300 rounds through the gun, with no problems.

I ordered the stock on Thursday, and I received it on Monday. Shipping was free and was via the USPS.

Pro's for this item are:

Con's are:
Design - At the fully extended position, there is 1/4" of play in the last slot. The last slot is designed differently from the other two positions, which lock in place with no play or movement. There is enough friction to prevent movement on its own, so it is not a big deal. Also, if you plan on extending and retracting the stock often, the arms will wear away some of the black finish in the gun's guide grooves. I don't know if this is typical with other models.

although it does fit the gsg, its for an airsoft rifle. first thing i had to do was remove the metal sling adapter because it wouldnt slide all the way on with it still attached. the other thing is that you have to use the screw from your own buttstock, which doesnt fit all the way in. overall its a nice stock for an airsoft rifle, but if it wasnt for the gsg rifles compatability, this would be a $20 part. i honestly feel ripped off. if you want this stock, id buy an airsoft rifle that comes with it and then exchange stocks, so at least you can play with an airsoft rifle as well. i think they should say in the ad that its an airsoft part, not just gsg compatable. its misleading and dishonest.

This is an airsoft stock. NOT GSG factory. The major problem with the stock is that it binds during collapse and extension. It is not so bad that you can't use it- But for the money it should slide smooth. I had to sand the ends of the rails and inside of the mount. GOOD LUCK

The stock itself fits onto the GSG-5 fine. One word of caution.... The metal rails do tend to scratch inside the metal grooves on the GSG-5. I was not able to find anything online or at a local gun shop that would prevent the scratches.

I ended up putting grease and oil on the metal rails to make the action on the retractable stock open and close with less friction.

Also, when opening the stock to its most open position you need to be careful to release the action on the stock so as not to pull the stock completely off the firearm, which happens almost every time unless you are careful.

Other than that, the stock looks very cool on the GSG. The other difference between the MP5 retractable stock is that on the MP5 when the stock is in its most closed position it can shoot open to its most fully open positon automaticaly. On the GSG-5 it is a manual operation.

All in all, if you don't mind some possible scratches in the rail grooves on the GSG-5 I would definitely recommend this product!

This stock was a wonderful addition to an already wonderful gun. It took no time at all to change and adjust for immediate use. This rifle is a great piece for a small caliber and the additional stock makes it more diverse and even better.

Good looking from distance but closer look cheap material.
The knob or tab to adjust the legnht or stock it is so flimsy and hard to used.
You get what you pay for.

This is a horrible product. Extending and collapsing the stock digs and gouges the side of the rifle in a disgusting way, the stock doesn't feel sturdy, the make and quality feels flimsy, and this wasn't exactly cheap.

The GSG-5 is a wonderful gun, with the ability to practice sight picture, target acquisition, and fire control, all at the price of .22 shells. It is also great fun for plinking. What it needs is a way to make it more compact, for transport or for maneuverability. THIS is the accessory it needs. The collapsible handle is extremely well made, fits perfectly, and of high quality materials. Installs in a minute. Functions just like the one on an MP5.

I bought this product as part of the bundle, and it came exactly as the previous review described. It fits well, was easy to install and looks better than the clunky factory stock. The little bit of wiggle room on the last setting is no big deal as far as I'm concerned. I haven't noticed any scratching on the guide rails, but my GSG is the silver fist anniversary edition, so there's no paint there to lose. Still.

Very pleased with the free shipping. Product arrived in six days, after a mix up at the post office, so service is prompt. Hell, I've payed shipping charges costing more than the product I was buying, and still not seen hide nor hair of my merchandise for a week or more. Good show guys.

A purchase I would gladly make again.

i just got this item amd for the money its nice and does the job , best of all it looks cool . but if you dont take the sling holder bar out of the stock and toss it you will have trouble scratching the sliding stock arms .
