I can't fault the build of the product as it seems to work well for those who mount it on a first generation GSG-5. There must be some subtle design difference between the two generations that will not allow for a level mount of this product on the second generation GSG-5. To clarify: There is no "snap" when the mount is placed on this rifle. I've watched the video through Combat Optical and replicated it to the best of my ability, to no avail. Took it to the range and can't get a round on the target at 10 yards. To Combat Optical's credit: I received the product in a timely fashion and it was exactly what was advertised. If you have a 1st gen, it probably works. If you can get it to work on 2nd gen without significant metal working talent, please post how you accompished this.

Cheap price, but also doesn't fit my second gen GSG just as another user reported. The front side of mount is centered but rear side is not, causing the mount to sit as a slight diagonal.

Also, color is more like a faded charcoal color, not black. Not really a big deal, but worth mentioning.

I purchased this item about a month ago and mounted it on my GSG5. With the allen screw heads to the left side of the gun, the mount fits perfectly and only took a few minutes to install. I put a reflex sight on the mount and it works great. I was extremely happy with this item. You definitely get your moneys worth on this item!!!

Bought for gsg-5p but fits (JG) airsoft mp5 + mp5sd6 as well. Great product for price...I will prob. buy a few more!!

For 10 dollars, how could you go wrong? This rail mounts low enough to use the open sites on a GSG-5. My only complaint was the aluminum screws (they will strip if you aren't careful).

Great idea and price, but will not fit the 522 carbine due to the plastic ridges on the top of the receiver. I'm getting my Dremel tool out and making some adjustments to either the mount or the plastic piece.

Fits perfect on my 2nd Generation GSG5 Titanium Anniversary Edition with no tilt...Perfect Red-Dot mount...Perfectly level.

Fitted straight on to my GSG with none of the problems mentioned by others. Mounted my Aim Sports reflex sight also with no problems. I wouldn't carry either of them into battle but, for a plinker, they do an excellent job.

I received my mount on 1-12-2010. It came well packaged with the hex wrench required to tighten it down. I placed it on my GSG 5 carbine without any problem. I read that some people had trouble with theirs. I purchased my GSG 5 two weeks before. No problems... looks good.. does what it is made for. Great price for this item.

The rail does everything that I wanted.
It fits my GSG-5 just fine.
No problems with one side being too high like others have had once properly fitted.
The thing to remember if you have a GSG or similar with a fixed front sight that this rail will sit tightly on top of the gun. The rather large front sight of my GSG sits within the sight picture of the dot scope that I installed.
It still works for me, but it would bother some. If it would bother you, get the raised, see through version.
