It actually works,
By Barbara B. (Oregon, USA) - See all my reviews That's more than I can say for the $39 D-Link hub I just returned because it wouldn't recognize half of my stuff (don't get me started!) Plus, it's super small and not bad looking! What more can you want from a mundane little thing like a hub? There are a few minor drawbacks: 1) the USB cord (that attaches the hub to the computer) is very short (about 21") 2) there is no power cord, which means it might not power up all devices (but is also great if you don't want one more plug to deal with) and 3) the box I got was completely in Chinese (except, ironically, for the words Made in China. But there really is no need for documentation. Just plug it in and Windows takes care of the rest. Be sure to plug it into your computer, wait for Windows to recognize it, then plug each device in one at a time, waiting for the Windows confirmation after each device.

Does not appear to be USB 2.0,

I needed some more ports on my machine and bought this based on the reviews. For the most part it works fine. I've tested it with a mouse, keyboard, and USB external hard drive. But when I used the external drive to do a backup, the software estimated it would take six hours. On a hunch, I took the drive's dongle from the USB hub and plugged directly into the computer. When I started the backup again, the software estimated it would take about 40 minutes, which is what I'm used to. Further ad hoc speed tests showed that this little thing is reeeaaalllly slow.
I give it three stars because it's cheap and I can see it being useful. Just be aware that you get what you pay for.

Not as it seems,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Although the packaging clearly states "Power Adapter Included", it does not include a power adapter, which may cause issues when connecting multiple devices. To further add to the deception that a power supply is included, the bottom part of the packaging is contains an empty box where you would expect the power supply to be.
This is the most deceptive packaging I've encountered for a product. Buyer Beware!
