I plan on using them while camping or by the pool or beach! :)

They're sturdy, have the classic look, and (when nested) take up less space than a regular wine glass.

They pack very light, and the cup edge, when inverted, snaps onto the base.

I know. Wine purists out there probably have a variety of reasons as to why the shape of a wine glass is better for the flavor of wine than simply pouring it into a sierra cup, but those concerns are not mine. When my wife and I decided to plan a little getaway for our wedding anniversary, she indicated that she wanted to have a picnic lunch with wine for lunch. Well, I'm great at packing things, but not even I wanted to worry about transporting glass stemware in a backpack, so I purchased a pair of these GSI Outdoors nesting wine glasses.

When I first got these, I was a bit concerned by how thin they felt, and was worried about breakage. They pack very light, and the cup edge, when inverted, snaps onto the base. That connection adds stability to the cup, making the compact module pretty tough. When ready for a drink, just separate the pieces, and screw the threaded base into the bottom of the cup.

If you enjoy a nice glass of wine from time to time, pick one of these up and enjoy your favorite beverage anywhere your feet can carry you. While you're at it, grab two--even if you don't have someone with whom to share a glass now, you never know when you might have an opportunity.

I strongly recommend these little wine glasses. Add a little fun and elegance to your wilderness adventures!

We love the earlier model which we believed was pictured on the site. It held at least 5 ounces, had sturdy construction AND the stem/bottom would fit neatly into the bowl. What we received was small, flimsy and in no way "nests" into the bowl. The only reason we are not returning is that we ordered originally from LL Bean and returned for the same reason. We thought from the looks of the visual that this vendor had some of the old model. Have given up trying to find the earlier GSI model.Nesting Wine Glass

I purchased these glasses after using some a friend had. The web page photo was as I had seen in the flesh and used. When the glasses arrived they were not as shown on the web page. They were of a newer version of nesting glasses and they are not as good,as they do not stay "nested" and come apart very easily. I returned the glasses with a note stating my disappointment that the wrong photo is shown on the web page. This is not good enough and amounts to laziness on the part of the seller in not bothering to update their page. My advice to any potential buyers is to first clarify the correct photo is shown. I have attempted to buy since my first bad experience only to find in every case that the photo is wrong. Be warned!!!!

Bought two of these glasses to pack in a suitcase for international travel and feel they will withstand the tossing of the luggage. However, I thought that when it is demonstrated as fitting within itself, the lid would firmly encompass the stem and click, thereby holding the two pieces together, but that is not the case and I will either have to find a heavy rubberband to keep the two pieces together or find a small carrying bag.

Yeah, it's snobby but it's really fun to drink wine while camping from "real" wine glasses. When my wife and I got married I told her we could go squirrel hunting in the morning and the opera in the afternoon. I also told her I couldn't afford steam off a hotdog. It's really fun to go camping, roast hotdogs over an open fire and drink a nice bottle of wine in these glasses. Are they better then a red Solo cup? Taste Wise I don't think so (I'm far from being a sommelier) but for the fun and novelty they are.

We've taken them on about six weeks worth of dry camping and haven't had any issues with the quality. Since the stems unscrew and fit into the body of the glass for storage they're pretty solid. We generally camp out of cargo van so we have storage. All our cooking equipment fits into a tote but it's a tight fit. I've only backpacked them once. In both cases they've held up well. If you don't unscrew the stem you will have issues with them breaking.

I really like these wine glasses. They're sturdy, have the classic look, and (when nested) take up less space than a regular wine glass. We have both the older design and this version - I like the newer version better. We keep them in our travel trailer, so the Lexan material is a big plus - no worries about them breaking during transit (or while in use).

Purchased March 2014, these were exactly what I wanted: sturdy, good-looking, and the bowl "snaps" securely onto raised places on the base for storage.

They are very easy to clean. I threw them on the ground multiple times without breaking them. Just what I need in plastic wine glasses.
