The items nest together for easy packing and carrying.

Both cookware items are made of high-quality aluminum, with a dependable nonstick interior coating that's easy to clean. Bugaboo pots and pans are light enough for backpacking, yet heat evenly enough to satisfy the most demanding camp cook. Plus, each piece is fully formed and then coated with two layers of durable nonstick coating for added scratch-resistance. The mess kit also includes a 6-inch polypropylene bowl and a 12-ounce polypropylene cup, giving you dishware for your one-person meal. And to make it easier to lift your cookware, the kit comes with an exclusive DiamondBack Gripper handle that attaches securely to exterior brackets on the pot and frypan. The brackets preserve both the interior and exterior pot finishes while still letting you detach the handle for easy storage.

All the items in the Bugaboo mess kit nest together and fit inside the included mesh storage bag. The items pack small, travel light, and withstand a ton of abuse.

As stated this thing is the perfect backpacking mess kit. Each pan if teflon coated which makes cleanup a breeze and using one as a lid for the other (or as a plate) is no problem at all. The handle doesn't wiggle nearly as much as those cheaper aluminum types you can get (and really doesn't wiggle at all really). The cup/bowl and sturdy plastic (wouldn't want to try and crush test them mind you) and fit easily inside the pan/lid (with the handle) for stowing into the mesh carry-case. Plus the case has a nice draw-string and room to stash a few extras like utensils or maybe some spices.

Very recommended buy.

We used this set constantly while camping in Mt. Lassen. The removable handle seriously came in handy - could even use it on some cans so you don't get burned when you forget any heat resistant protection. They were light, compact, easy to clean - which was important when you had no water other than what you brought, we wished we'd brought more to cook in them. The pot/lid feature was cool - but you have to make sure its properly balanced on the other pan, it did pop off easily.
All in all, for amateur campers, this worked out very well for us.

This is a good personal cook-set for the solo packer. I have come to realize that I wish I had a larger set as storage of food and other gear is not an option with this set. It is compact and is perfectly fine for trips. I was disappointed as mine did not come with a handle or a elastic band to hold the top and bottom together as my friends identical mess kit did . . .
