Overall, I like this stand because of its versatility. It charges the phone in portrait mode. This is well worth the money. I bought 2 of them and have worked flawlessly. I have one in my bedroom and the other one is on my work desk. I'm very happy with both of them. As for the blue light it's not that bright I have had no problems sleeping at night with it being in my bedroom. Definitely worth the money you pay. No need to spend so much money on an Apple version of this charger, when this works just as good.

I have a case on my iPhone4 - it is not even that thick of a case, but it wouldn't charge unless I removed the case. Going back as I am not taking the case off everytime I want to charge - would have worked great though!

I bought two of these cradles and found they wouldn't fit my iPhone4 or my wifes iPhone3S.
Both of our phones have small thin protective cases (like 99% of all cell phone users) and they restricted the 30 pin connector from engaging the ports on both phones. It would work only after the protective cases were removed so it was not worth the trouble for me. Pitched both cradles in the trash. Hope this is helpful.
