Product Description
The TTL Off-Camera Flash Extension Cord is an extremely useful accessory for Pentax digital SLR cameras, allowing an external flash to be used away from the camera. The flash can be located as far as 5 feet away from the camera and still perform all the automatic functions possible with flash photography. Using an off-camera flash provides the photographer with the flexibility to direct light from a variety of angles, allowing simple but effective fill lighting for balancing outdoor shots or hiding shadows under harsh indoor lights. An off-camera flash is also an effective primary light source when less direct lighting is desired.

I purchased this cable to used on a Pentax K-7 with Pentax AF360FGZ flash. Have only attached and tried cable with flash to be sure it works. Have not used it during any shoot, but cable worked fine.When installed on the Pentax K-7, the cable connection prevents use of camera flash; not a criticism, just a notation. I would be interested in similar unit with longer (6-10 feet), non-coiling, cable to attach to light stand.

I use this with a flash bracket that I purchased from Adorama a few months ago. Works well. TTL circuit works without any problems. I don't see myself using this cord much at the moment, but it should last a long time. Great bargain for the Pentax shooter that needs this type of cable. For the price, a heavy shooter could buy one or two more for backup.
