This item is pretty damn great I must admit. It works. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the irritating remote that you have to use just to turn it on and off. The sound quality is good in my car but if I turn it up using the remote while it gets louder the static gets really bad. Speaking of static unless I turn up the volume with the remote there isn't any. I don't have to change radio stations all the time! Last thing I wish the neck were flexible. Where my lighter is in my car makes where the iPod sit kinda awkward it's straight up and I can't read the songs. Still a great product.

I bought this and it's horrible. It doesn't even work with the iPhone 3GS! It will only hold it if it's standing straight up and only if you don't go over any bumps in the road, accelerate, or slow down. Also, it doesn't work in a 2005 Honda civic, a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, or a 1985 Cadillac Seville. The transmitter is weak and the iPhone blocks it so you have use the remote pointing directly from the top. I would not recommend this for my enemies. If hitler himself came back to life I would not give this to him because it would be too cruel. Don't buy this, you will be grossly disappointed.

but it seems to work just fine with my iphone 3G. I get a message that this is not the proper "charging device" for the iphone, but it does charge it ok and transmits to any station, whether it is busy or not. For the price you cannot beat it. Unless it ruins my iphone battery in time which it might.
