This little USB retractable charger is great, its retractable so its easy to store, and it doesnt cost a lot so if it broke it wouldnt be hard to replace. I've had it for sevral weeks and it works like a charm. The good thing about it being retractable is that you dont have to worry about the cord getting tangled with others, although it does get tangled up in its own spool, but all you have to do is give it a little tug and your good to go. I give this great little item two Thumbs up.

This cord performed exactly like I wanted it to -- charging my Kindle as well as allowing me to connect Kindle to the computer to upload books/magazines to it.

I keep this charger in work. Plugs are in very short supply so I couldn't charge my Kindle if I forgot to charge it at home. Now I can charge it up and have it ready to go whereever I am.

This product is compact and doesn't dangle. Much less costly than the original Kindle replacement. Charges the Kindle in less time than the charger that came with the Kindle.

I keep reordering and giving them to coworkers and roommates. They're very handy, well made, and a really good price.

I'm glad the Micro USB format is becoming a standard for gadget charging.

FYI these particular cables are long enough to go from a car cigarette lighter to a windshield mount.

Having purchased a Kindle Fire, I found myself wanting a convenient, easy to use, retractable micro USB cable to charge the device as well as transfer data to and from it. Not all micro USB retractable cables are the same, and I spent a lot of time on Amazon looking for a retractable micro USB cable that charged and transferred data at the same time.

I came upon the GTMax Micro USB cable by accident, as I was searching for Kindle (e-reader version) micro USB cables. The price was right and I quickly ordered it since it promised everything I was looking for. A couple of days later it was delivered to my door and since then, I haven't put it down. What a terrific product!

Unlike the experience shared by many users here, my GTMax Micro USB has yet to break, and I absolutely love the fact that I can charge and transfer files to my Kindle Fire at the same time. It also has a small form factor and it slips easily into pockets, backpacks, whatever. It only comes in white though, which is okay I guess, although I would have preferred a black one.

The only thing I would like to see improved is the total length of the cable. When completely extended, the cord is about 20" long, good enough for deskwork, but when traveling, I like to have the Kindle Fire attached to an external battery pack charging in my bag while using the tablet. Lengthening the cable even an extra 5-10" would make a world of difference.

All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. It's cheap enough that if it were to break, I wouldn't have a problem purchasing another. It does exactly what I want, unlike other retractable micro USB cables which only allow you to charge your Kindle Fire, not transfer data to and from it. Without a doubt, I highly recommend the GTMax Micro USB cable!

This cable is compact and cheap and a not super quality product, but definitely worth the price. It is however not a Data Cable, so it isn't a substitute for the cable that comes with the kindle.

Bought three of these Hot Sync Data Cables None of the three could function as a DATA cable !!! Tried on both a Kindle 2 and a Kindle 3. I could charge the Kindle, but I really needed it mostly for Data Transfer. I had a similar problem with another set of 2 Micro USB Data cables that wouldn't allow a down load into the Kindle from my Laptop. At least the previous MicroUSB cables allowed the Kindle to be recognized as a USB Data Storage device (but wouldn't allow me to download files TO the Kindle !!!). At this point, I think I should have gone with an OEM cable...

I am pleased with this USB cable. I like that it coils up automatically which makes it great for travel. Good price too.

Since some of the reviewers received Mini-USB and other the proper Micro-USB cable ( which does work with the Kindle
Fire, at least mine does ), Amazon should get the SF / Planet Fulfillment Center in Saint Paul, MN to check all the
cables they send out to make sure they are the proper Micro cable. ARE YOU LISTENING AMAZON?
