I purchased this charger for my Motorola Droid. The idea of a retractable charger sounded good to me. I have had it now for 3 weeks and used it pretty much everyday with no problems. The only problem I see happening is that the quality of the charger seems a little cheap and with that, it seems that it may fall apart someday. The charging wire that retracts into the 12v adapter also seems a bit thin. I am sure this is because it needs to retract and fit into the adapter. The charger works well, so far in spite of it feeling kind of cheap in quality.

** Update ** It's been 18 months and this charger is holding up well. It still fully retracts and still charges the phone. This was a great buy!

I LOVE how you can one push retract the cord. Exactly what i was looking for. Although some people say the build quality is lacking, but i say its great for such a cheap price!

great design. the retractable cord was the selling feature on this and i loved it, that is until it stopped charging. i only used it maybe 4 times.

This cheap little knock off charger does not reliably charge my Droid. Less than half of the time I plug it in does it start to charge. Generally I have to jiggle the charger phone connection AND the charger car connection to get the thing going. It then usually fails in 10 more minutes and I have to start the process over again.

So basically I was using this on my Motorola Droid (the original) and it really isnt worth much to speak of. If my phone is completely dead, this charger will give it enough power to turn on but thats about it. Same if the phone has full power it will keep the battery from going down, but it doesnt really charge my device. Example, I drove my brother to the airport which was 2 hours away, and by the time we got the airport his phone was only at 60% battery life, and I dont think it was completely dead to start. If you are looking for a charger to actually charge your phone this is NOT it!!

The charger provides excellent power while it stays sufficiently plugged it,
but it fractionally self-ejects from the 12V power-socket
(enough to disconnect the centerline-power-connection)

I am *excessively* (several times per commute) pushing it in to resume the connection
and I generally notice there's a problem when I see my phone screen is off
during navigation and Pandora-play.

Retractable power is really an easy and practical product - I searched it out to obtain somethihng that makes it easy to use in the car to charge my Iphone 4

The plug was a little too short to fit into the socket on the Droid. I had to cut back the plastic housing and re-glue the metal plug. After that, it has been working fine.

I had low expectations with the incredibly low price I paid for this charger but is AWESOME! I love it!

Great price for a retractable charger. Unfortunately, the retraction mechanism needs some work. It often doesn't retract all the way and you have to pull it out and try again. It's not a huge problem--just irritating.
