I got this windshield mount for my HTC Evo cell phone. I really like it so far. The suction cup is awesome. Holds the mount securely to the windshield. It has a nice small "handle" attached to the suction cup that makes the grip even stronger. There are a few buttons that release and secure the mount's hinges at different angles to suit your windshield. The portion that holds the cell has soft cushions to protect the phone. The plastic could be a bit stronger, but just don't over-tighten the grips and you'll be fine. The side grips also move up and down the sides of the phone to suit your needs and there are two little feet to prevent the cell from falling (just in case you left it loose). The "neck" from the suction cup to the holder is not very long so you may want to use this mount on the lower left part of your windshield to have easy access to answer hands-free calls or play music while driving. I am overall very pleased with this purchase!!

This mount is perfect for the EVO! Yes you're EVO will fit in this! Contrary to what others have said. No it won't fit horizontally with the grips open all the way. But you can rotate the phone 90 degrees while in the holder and it will not move! I use it in my 18 wheeler. My windshield is plenty big and I mount it just above the dash. It is great having it visible and not stored in the overhead compartment. The suction cup really holds too! When you release the clip you have to just get a finger nail under the rubber to pop it from the windshield and it comes right off. It stays through all the potholes, extreme temperatures and moisture buildup on the windshield. Totally worth it. Why pay tens of dollars for a 'licensed' one. Get this you will not be disappointed. The suction cup is big yes, but the EVO is huge you don't even see the suction cup.

There was no glue that came with this despite what another reviewer said. For that I would recommend the gorilla glue if you really wanted it on your dashboard.

Because it is a great distance from the power outlet I use the retractable car charger that I also got.

So when I bought this, it had said it was for the HTC EVO 4G, but I had thought it might just be a universal mount. In the end, it turns out it was a universal mount, as it doesn't extend far enough to hold the phone sideways. Since other phones are shown sideways, I can guarantee this just wasn't designed with EVO in mind. However, it's not too big of a deal since you can just turn the mount sideways.

I will give this a very positive review since it's such a great mount. It really holds the phone solidly; no jumping around or anything. The suction mount is also great as it doesn't fall like some other mounts. It's strong enough to even attach to the dashboard.

Also to the people complaining that they tried to pull the arms out and they broke... that would be expected. There's actually a button that you have to press for the arms to extend. Then you just squeeze it in on your phone.

Both my partner and I purchased this product for our new HTC Evo's and absolutely love it! Of all the accessories we ordered this one gave us the most surprising joy. I had researched it on Amazon and found many reviews on this type of product to be not very good. For the price I figured I would take a shot in the dark, order it and if it was junk take my loss. Quite the contrary. Our thanks to the engineers who designed it. We sat there at the kitchen table working all the pieces and just marveling at how they thought of all the little things that make a difference and make something work. I have read that there are challenges with suction sticking on some car mounts. We haven't had any problems with that. The suction is awesome. For those with that issue you may want to wet the suction part slightly with water before applying. Also this is labeled as a universal car mount and the way the grippers open to hold the phone I would way that is true. Lots of adjusting points for the perfect angle. Comes with a vent mounting piece also, though not sure how that works in all vehicles. Overall the car mount is well made, sturdy, and the perfect size. Product arrived quickly. Great deal!

This thing was junk, as I pressed it against the windshield, it snapped, broke and I had to throw it away. I do not recommend. Save your money and buy something that actually works.

Here as another product that you get what you pay for. I would love to meet the person who designed this piece of junk. Every time I go to use this the holder falls off the mount and I keep getting more frustrated trying to hook it back up into the little holes to stabilize it. Then it falls out again and again so many times I just threw it away!!! Save your money please and just hold the phone!

So for less than 3 dollars, it holds the phone very well... The suction cup on the other hand does not stay on my windshield and it is not worth it to send it back. I would not recommend this car mount.

I bought this phone holder and the EVO phone is too heavy for the holder! The suction cup won't stay either. I gave it a one star because at least my phone fit in it.I was being kind to even give it that. Ok, Actually I was forced to give it one star, it makes you pick something.

The item I received was not the same as described. It did not have a suction cup but instead some 3M adhesive tape. I'm going to use it anyway, but keep an open mind when you get yours.
