This stuff is so much better than Gatorade...This has a much more pleasant taste than Gatorade! After drinking this mix, drinking Gatorade is like drinking syrup...way too sweet for my liking. I drank this primarily for my 330 mile ride from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. I like the LemonLime much better than the Orange Gu20 which kind of left a weird aftertaste. I would definitely get the LemonLime again!

GU Brew BluePom is the winner,

I've tried Gatorade, Nuun tablets, plain water, Clif drink powder, and all 3 flavors of the GU Brew. Each has its place. Nuun for refilling on the road. Gatorade for after I'm back home. Water for short rides. But for filling my bottles or camelbak at home before a longer bike ride, the Clif and GU Brew are my top picks. The Orange and Lemon Lime flavors are pretty much what you expect: a flavor similar to Gatorade (but less syrupy). The downside is that if you choose to dilute these sour/citrus flavors they really start to taste bad. Imagine an glass of watered down orange juice, it doesn't taste quite right. The blueberry pomegranate flavor was the last one I tried because lets be honest...when you're in the middle of a hot and sweaty workout is blueberry pomegranate really what you think of? Surprisingly, it turned out to be my favorite. It is very refreshing and at 1/2 or 2/3rds strength it still tasted great. An added bonus was that it had 2x the sodium of the others, something really helpful for those longer bike rides in hot weather.

Excellent product for low sugar with high carbs,

I ordered lemon lime and the taste is great. Definitely the way to go with a low sugar high carb electrolyte replacement drink.

Tastes great, works great - choose blueberry for cramping,

I've only used the blueberry pomegranate flavor but I find it just right. Not too sweet like some sports drinks, but not too salty, especially given the 2x sodium. I'm been using it for 2 years now and haven't looked back at my previous solution.
If you especially prone to cramping during long training or competitive events, as I am, then you should choose the blueberry pomegranate. It provides TWICE the sodium of the other flavors. (Sodium having been shown to be the key element to replenish to prevent the major type of heat-related, twitch muscle cramps, according to a number of sports science studies.) In hot weather, it's usually good to drink an entire sport bottle of GU Brew at least an hour before the event, and then consume another 32-48 oz throughout. As with any other large canister of powder, take care to keep water out, and you'll be fine.

I purchased orange even though many of the reviews suggested lemonlime. I didn't think it tasted very good. What I decided to do and it is working for me so far, is I mix it half and half with gatorade. I will taper off the gatorade slowly as I adjust to the taste until I am no longer adding gatorade. I am trying to get away from all the sugar of gatorade but unfortunately I have a taste for it now so it will take a bit to get used to this new flavor.
I have noticed it doesn't dissolve well, I even use a wisk to mix it up. I am thinking that it may be best to put water in the bottle before adding the gu powder. Overall, good product and I will learn to like the taste. So much better than drinking water on long runs

Had decent expectations for this since it was recommended but it had a horrible taste. Couldn't drink it. Decided to try it on my tennis team and give it to fellow high performance gym rats - no one liked it. I couldn't Give it away! Sometimes these powdered drinks are reflected in taste by the water you use, but this was mixed with Crystal Rock from the tank, so there was no mistaking the revolting taste.

Tastes OK but forms into a clump in the bottom of bottle that takes a long time to dissolve unless it is used with warm water. I would not purchase this product again until this problem is resolved. My cannister is mostly unused due to this fact and I am very dissapointed in this product.

GU 20,
This review is from: GU Sports Electrolyte Brew Replacement Sports Drink (2 lb. canister) (Misc.)
This is an okay tasting electrolyte but the main reason I give it 3 stars is that it does not dissolve very well in water. Vigorous mixing still results in clumps of product at the bottom of the cup. As an electrolyte replacement it seems to work well.

Don't have anything bad to say so I give this a 5 star. It's good to have around but its a bit more spendy than Powerade, but you get more electrolytes. I haven't decided if its a better value. Works about the same.
