I bought these sandals because I was looking for a sexy black platform sandal that I could dress up or (when feeling a bit more bold) wear to work with a skirt or dress. There's no doubt that this is a sexy sandal. They have a unique look with the design of the straps and the heel is the perfect height. The buckles you see on the straps are functional, not just decorative. You can use them to achieve a better fit around your ankle and across the top of your foot. They would look great with jeans or the right outfit for a night out. They aren't, however, a versatile enough style to be worn on a day-to-day basis or to work. Also, the back of the shoe that goes from your heel up the back of your ankle makes the sandal a bit uncomfortable to walk in - not enough to make it worthless, but it limits the flexibility in your ankle when you walk. Maybe that would get better with being broken in to make that piece a bit softer.

For me, these shoes are going back. However, if you go to clubs/bars a lot or if you just have a sexy style of everyday dress, this shoe is perfect.
