Don't trust the AAA brand on this one., March 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: AAA GUIDE TO NORTH AMERICA THEME PARK (Aaa Guide to North America's Theme Parks) (Paperback)
While AAA puts out some great books, this is not one of them. There are a lot of mistakes. Whoever compiled this stuck with the mainstream parks and used park-supplied information with little or no original research evident. If you're looking for a guide, there's none better than Tim O'Brien's The Amusement Park Guide. It lists nearly 300 parks and is written by someone who knows the industry better than just about anyone!

Much more fun, December 12, 2001

This review is from: AAA GUIDE TO NORTH AMERICA THEME PARK (Aaa Guide to North America's Theme Parks) (Paperback)
This guide is now somewhat out-of-date, but it is much livelier and more useful than the O'Brien book. You really get a sense of each place. The O'Brien book is deadly dull (which is weird, given the subject matter) and not formatted so you can go directly to the information you need.
