I ended up with a size too small because there is no sizing info on the listing. Just FYI - size large is ladies shoe size 8-10.5. Compression is good though and so far, no digging into my calves just below the knees.

Since this is my first foray into the world of support hose I have nothing to compare to. I have been wearing the Gabriella support hose for a little over a week now and I have to say this product is almost perfect. They do what they are supposed to do, prevent my feet and ankles from swelling by day's end.

These are deeply sculpted elastic hose with small tight ankles, ample calf room, and a wide non-binding knee band. The color nude is only slightly lighter than my skin tone, allowing me to wear sandals this summer without the support hose being so obvious. The hose were not so difficult to put on as I had anticipated, even with my arthritic hands, knees and hips. And heaven knows compared to others the price is right!

I took the advice of those who suggest buying a size larger than one normally wears. Still the foot was too short and my toes felt a little crowded, giving me a clear understanding of why open toe styles are manufactured. There is nothing one can do about the tight toe fit, either. No pulling or stretching or adjusting of any kind helps as the material quickly springs back to it's original shape. That is simply the way it is knit to fit, and except for the modest toe room the fit is perfect.

If the company would just knit the foot a mere half inch longer these would be the perfect support knee high hose.

ADDENDUM: I bought two pair and have been alternating for the last month. The ankles have begun to stretch. With each wearing/washing cycle the loss of ankle elasticity is more pronounced, yet the feet stay tight. I am disappointed.

MORE: It is now November, 4 months later, and I have tried everything Jobst has to offer. None of it worked for me. This is still my favorite and my go-to support hose. The four stars stand.

I got these after suggestion from my OB to get some type of compression socks. Currently 8 months pregnant and are wearing these everyday to help reduce swelling. I really like them. Glad I got a Large! I wear 8 1/2 shoe and could not of use Medium.

I purchased a pair based on the reviews. So far, they have worked well. I stand on my feet All day, sometimes from 9am till 9pm. My legs would 'ache' when I got home and even the next day. When I wore these stockings, my legs no longer 'ached'. They give very firm support around the ankles and firm support on the calves. They also do NOT bind at the top band. I purchased a large (shoe size 8-10.5) even though I only wear an 8 shoe and they fit great. If I do not recieve a different pair that I ordered, I will definatly purchase another pair of these.((I'm writing under my husband's account - theses stocking are for me, his wife)

I got these stockings because I am pregnant and my feet and ankles swell. I wear size 7 and a half - 8 and I got a large pair. At first I thought they were too tight, but I think that is how they work. My feet and ankles feel so good when I wear them! They might swell a tiny bit but nothing like before. These should last me through this pregnancy but if I got pregnant again I would make sure to have several pairs on hand.

I first tried these compression knee highs when my health insurance provider stopped covering the prescription compression stockings I wore for ten years. I couldn't afford the $140 for prescription stockings, so I tried one pair of these stockings. I was really surprised to find that they worked as well as the $140 stockings (i.e., no leg swelling) and they also wore very well. Since then, I've purchased six more pairs. All are still in service, including that first pair. After many machine washings, none have developed any runs or snags. In addition, they are much easier to put on and look like normal hose (unlike the heavy, ugly prescription version).

At 8 months pregnant, my ankles were swelling every day at work. After getting these stockings, the swelling was totally gone. They were wonderful. The other reviewers are right though. Get a size larger than you think you need. I wear a size 8 shoe and large was perfect. Great product!

I expected good quality Knee Highs that would not drop down and thats just what I got. Stays in place all day. Great product. I love it. I would recommend it to anyone.

My wife needed these to fly soon after ankle surgery in order to prevent any clotting. They were not the most comfortable, but they obviously did the trick and were not unattractive.

Item is needed by my wife but no longer available locally. This vendor sells them a a lower price than we had been able to acquire locally and very fast delivery.
