I've tried many support garments over the years to help with ruptured L5/S1 disks in my back. Most times the garment is so restrictive, hot and/or uncomfortable I would wear it a few times and then stash permanently in a drawer. This warming wool support garment is the first I've tried that is not only comfortable, it is a pleasure to wear.

True to size, it slips on easily like a tube; the photo on the mannequin in the listing represents the one I received; the photo on the box seems to be outdated as it has a waistband (like pantyhose) and hem which is not present on my garment. I was concerned that with no waistband it would ride up or down but it stays put once it is on.

This garment gives a feeling of light, gentle warmth and support without feeling restrictive or binding - *even* when sitting! Doesn't give that my girdle-is-about-to-cut-me-in-half feeling. Doesn't create a "muffin-top" silhouette. Lays flat under my clothes so you can't even tell it's there. The word binder may imply things not present here as this is NOT girdle-like support; it feels more like wearing a pair of good wool tights.

Doesn't make me overly warm, nor sweaty. The fabric is very breathable. Not scratchy - in fact the low nap of the tightly woven fabric is fairly soft and is very comfortable even against bare skin.

With my arthritis I try to use wool fabrics wherever I can since for me it does have superior pain relieving properties. Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommended.
