I saw these movies in theatrical release way back in 1990, and they have stayed with me. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the dream-like style works much better (for me) on film than on paper. The Beautiful Pigeon Fancier, and The Summer of Miss Forbes, in particular left indelible impressions on me by combining beautiful settings with emotional stories. I really want the DVD, but there doesn't seem to be any demand. A real treasure!

Though this is a rare enough collection, the only seller here is listing it for an over price of 150$. Save yourself alot of money and enjoy Gabriel Garcia Marquez by searching for single copies of each movie (from amazon.com). You'll find them much cheaper. ENJOY

I've seen all of these movies. The one that stuck with me first were, "a very old man with enormous wings" and "the summer of Mrs. Forbes". But I rented "I am the one you are looking for", and that was the ultimate for me. At the begining I couldn't get it. WHy Mr.Marques whom I adore as an excellent writer would pick a subject such as that. However 10 years after seeing that movie, I think I finally understood the meaning of that movie and I am shocked as how incredibally deap and meaningful this movie is.
