I went back several years technology-wise to play this game. After 5 minutes I "forgot" about the poor graphics and interface, and got completely lost in the game. A wonderful experience.
Save often. If you reach a point that you cannot do something that the walkthrough says you should do - then revert to a prior saved game. Otherwise you will not be able to finish. I thought this was just a problem with older games like this or King's Quest, until it happened to me with MYST V! I still have been unable to finish that game, and am reluctant to start over. Anyway - I predict you will love this game so much that you will race to buy the other 2. Each is vastly different from this or each other. Personally, my favorite was this first Gabriel Knight game for sheer fun playing, and Gabriel Knight II was the best as far as plot - what a story: kings, opera, and werewolves. |
