This review is from: Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (CD-ROM)
I first played this game a few years ago, long after the graphics and gameplay became very, very outdated. Still, those elements made this game even more captivating in ways beyond nostalgic value. The storyline and the way it plays out is very well written, never predictable or boring. Tim Curry did a great job of turning Gabriel into a multi-dimensional character and Jane Jensen, the stories creator, is at the top of her field. There is more substance to this game than any game that i've played before it and since, so much that Jensen even wrote a novel based on the game. A very important game.

This was one of my favorite PC Games. This game was released on floppy disc and CD ROM and was ran on older computer operation systems. If you have a modern operating windows computer, you need to use the free "Dos Box" software which simulates the game as if it was ran through DOS. Great Game. My favorite in the entire Gabriel Knight series. You can also purchase the book!

I really wish they had continued this series. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is, to this day, one of my favorite games of all time. Obviously it's a little dated now, but it has a really interesting story that I loved back in the mid-90's when this game was released. I'm really sad that they didn't continue the franchise. I would love to see some form of Gabriel Knight on my Xbox or PS3 console. I would buy this game again if there was a Mac version of it. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find one anywhere. But if you're a PC user and love classic adventure games, this is definitely worth playing. However, I don't know where they're getting the price from. This is an old game. $80? Seems like some kind of money-laundering scam or something.
