More About the Author

Bob Idjennaden is a Belgian living on this beautiful island that is Ireland for many years now. He is curious about many things but it is in the field of ancient history that his passion is the strongest and is now pushing him to write.

Although this young man is part North African and a history buff, it took the reading of a book on the archaeology of the Tassili N'Ajjer (plateau of Southern Algeria) to trigger an interest on the ancient history of Africa. Written by M. Hachid, it suggested that many great civilizations have existed on this continent and that The Sahara was not always the desert that we all know.

Bob is passionate about anything written about the ancient civilisations of Africa, including the Kingdom of Numidia, the Garamantes, the Maures, the Gaetulians... and this led him to meeting many experts on these civilizations.

After one such meeting, he decided to organize a lecture on the African civilization of Numidia, which was held in Brussels, Belgium in 2011. It was the first time this topic had been addressed in that country and was met with such success and enthusiasm that Bob decided to start writing on the subject to reach a wider audience.

Other books on civilizations which have now disappeared will follow soon!

A very nice book. I am interested by nomadic peoples (since I traveled to Africa) because they do not accept to belong to one single place.
The description of this book draw my attention because I had the impression it dealt with the subject I am interested in.
It did. Very nice stuff!

Good book again(impressive cover by the way!). This series about the lost civilizations is definitely worth reading.
So many things seem to have existed in Africa we are not even aware of!
carry on!

Great series on the forgotten prehistory of the African continent - or not so forgotten as simply overlooked in favour of European prehistory. The only thing that lets it down is the spelling and grammar mistakes.
